25.01.2022 We would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has and\or continues to donate regularly to HERVEY BAY ADOPT FIRE AFFECTED FAMILIES (HBAFAF) Currently we are supporting 14 families In Lake Conjola area (89 homes lost in bush fires) , a total of 25 people every month with direct deposits into their accounts.This is is being graciously received and making a difference in lives. Sadly so many are still homeless as they have to jump through hoops to get help. We do not discriminate and want to support as many as we can so if you feel you can help please contact us for details. Thank you everyone and God Bless

25.01.2022 It's fire season yet again and we all know the devastation fires cause. Imagine the fear now going through the minds of New Year's Eve fire victims as this time approaches again. Hervey Bay Adopt Fire Affected Families is still supporting as promised 14 families every month with donated cash directly into each of their accounts. A total of 25 people. We have created 3 hampers to raise funds to support these very needed families. Each hamper minimum value is $400. Tickets are only $2 each . If you are part of an organisation that would like to help sell some of these tickets please let us know. Let's show HBAFAF we are supporting them all the way. Call in and purchase your tickets , drawn 23rd December.

23.01.2022 Super proud of our team members Bec, Katelin and Tenille. All 3 have spent the past 18 months studying, attending uni when allowed due to covid and becoming Cert 4 qualified in Optical Dispensing. This means EVERY member of our team is certified. Not just sales people but fully understanding how your eyes work and how to help you correctly. We are so proud of you girls. Covid put some tough barriers up but you all smashed through and have graduated exceptionally well. Well done and CONGRATULATIONS

20.01.2022 Thank you to our wonderful community for the continued support. As a result we have employed another Optometrist, Megan. Megan will start with us this Thursday. Megan has 16 years experience and is very passionate about listening to the needs of her patients and ensuring they receive the very best care and advice always. Megan is a loving, happy lady who we feel extremely blessed to have her join our team/family. We now have Richard, Tuyen and Megan , who are all exceptional Optometrists. We are so excited to be able to serve our community even better with our growing team

15.01.2022 1st February. A day of celebrations. This day is the day Sandra Mason started working with us 13 years ago. This day is the day Tuyen Tran also started working for us 5 years ago. We are so incredibly blessed to have such an awesome team. Sandy and Tuyen always give 150% to us, our business, our family, our patients. Please celebrate with us by wishing these awesome women a Happy Anniversary. Speaking of Anniversary 1st February 2021 also marks my parents 80th wedding anniversary. Definitely a day to celebrate. 13.01.2022 13 years ago on this day I married my best friend, my hero, my world. What an amazing day, despite Richard leaving me at the alter to go and retrieve the weddin...g rings he left behind(he will never forget that one). Richard Watt, you are my everything and I thank God everyday for bringing us together. Its such a beautiful feeling, knowing beyond any doubt that we will go though everyday together for the rest of our lives and eternity.. I love you, I appreciate you. You not only gave my life purpose but accepted all my children , grandchildren as your own. You are everything I prayed for. Looking forward to the rest of our lives. See more

Sandy has been off the last week and half due to surgery on her foot and will be another week yet. However she still hobbled in to see a rep. Bec, Tenille and Katelin have worked so well together, supporting each other , ensuring at all times ALL our patients receive the very best of care and advice always. Richard and Tuyen have been booked with very long days and still manage to fit in any emergencies that arise. To say I'm incredibly proud of our team/family is an understatement. We have been serving Hervey Bay for over 31 years now, always doing our very best to provide not only the latest technology but also the very best vision care we can. It's an honour to be part of our awesome community. This year saw so many challenges and so many businesses have not survived 2020 and Covid 19. At one stage we thought... this may have been our scenario too. But we took all the precautions we could (and still do) and you, the community continue to support us, so thank you. By your continued support we have been able to employ more local people, growing our staff from 5 to 9, with the prospect of another in the new year. Again, we say Thank you. 06.01.2022 Today is WHITE RIBBON DAY. The White Ribbon Campaign is a global movement of men working to end male violence against women and girls. 1 in 3 Australian women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence perpetrated by men. (www.ourwatch.org.au) That figure is appalling. This is not a problem that can be fixed by women. We men are the ones who can start a wave of change towards a safer and more respectful nation and world for the women in our lives. If the way you speak or act towards women is aggressive, threatening or disrespectful or you know someone (a family member, friend, workmate) who does, you need to STAND UP and SPEAK OUT.

02.01.2022 2020 has been a turbulent year for everyone. We are so impressed and blessed to have an amazing team that have ridden the waves and supported each other through it all, ensuring that all our patients have the best care and advice. So today, instead of the 'normal ' Christmas party we took our staff and their partners to Lady Elliot Island as our way of saying Thank you. Today Senta , our Rodenstock rep, our friend, and her partner Darren also joined us for an amazing day. 2020 has been extremely difficult for the tourist/travel industry too, so today has also been our way of supporting another local business .
