13.01.2022 Can you help us find Squirrel’s mum? Squirrel was found sitting in the middle of McDonald Road, between the Alexandra Hills Hotel and the Squirrel Glider Rese...rve. We think he was separated from his mum when they were crossing the road and may have been hit by a car. Squirrel was checked out and he is okay, but we can’t find his mum. The Redlands Wildlife Rescue volunteers and researchers from the Detection Dogs for Conservation team have been trying to find Squirrel's mum to check on her welfare and re-unite her with Squirrel, but we need help. She was last spotted in the Squirrel Glider Reserve off Finucane Road. She also uses the trees in the hotel carpark. So, if you feel like getting out for some fresh air over the next couple of days, head over that way and try your skills at koala spotting. 13.01.2022 I haven’t had a chance to introduce Amanda . Amanda came in on Sunday morning from straddy. She is a 1.68kg eastern grey . It took her a couple of days to want to pop her head out of her pouch but she has settled in now .
