18.01.2022 Please be advised that due to the current QLD border restrictions, we are unable to transport to over-border appointments and treatments until further notice.

17.01.2022 Volunteer drivers needed to transport residents of the Richmond Valley shire and Kyogle to health related appointments and medical treatments both locally and across border. Drivers can provide transport in our VW "Caddy" vehicle, or your own comprehensively insured vehicle and we will reimburse you $0.60 per kilometre for fuel and wear and tear on your car. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact the coordinator Jodi Morriss via email at: [email protected]

16.01.2022 BORDER UPDATE: We are now able to transport clients who require medical treatments over the border to QLD. 15.01.2022 Huge thanks to Jan and the team at the Casino Senior Citizens' Centre for having me along to talk about Richmond Valley Volunteer Health Transport this morning. It was lovely to see so many smiling faces, plus I got to hear a wonderful talk from Dr Curry about strategies to maintain optimum health as we age. What a fabulous morning!

05.01.2022 Existing Gold Coast Health patients who regularly attend our hospitals for urgent treatment such as chemotherapy or renal dialysis can apply for an exemption to... cross the border from New South Wales. In addition to your border pass, you will need to provide written confirmation that you are patient of Gold Coast Health receiving ongoing urgent specialist treatment. This can be organised by your treating team. If someone is driving you to this treatment, they will also need to apply for an exemption and can only drop you at the hospital before heading directly to one of the Govt quarantine hotels to wait for your treatment to finish. They cannot wait for you at the hospital or visit any other places in Queensland (including shops, service stations etc). See more
