20.01.2022 Thought these were lovely...These elegant wine corks have been upcycled into teeny tiny succulent planters! They are mounted onto magnets so they can be hung o...n the fridge. These tiny succulent planters will only need a few drops of water from a medicine dropper or a spoon about once every 10 days. How to make them... 1. Collect your corks and hollow out a central portion carefully. 2. Fill your tiny cork planter with gritty compost and water well, I would leave this over night standing up somewhere to let the compost settle and then refill it again. 3. Snip a tiny piece from an existing succulent and plant it in your mini cork planter. 4. I would leave these somewhere where you can mist them daily for a couple of weeks until they establish. 5. Glue on a magnet and attach to your position of choice. Photo Lovely Succulent Etsy

18.01.2022 We've all got that one top or jacket we love and have had for years - sometimes decades - and despite tears or rips, we can't bear to get rid of. If your belove...d clothing item is looking worse for wear, bring it in to the Repair, Mend and Make session on at Burnley Backyard this Sunday and get it fixed or learn how to mend it yourself. And there's much more going on, see http://rclc.org.au/?page_id=2560 #repaircorner #reducewaste #recycle #upcycle #sustainableliving #community #loverichmond

17.01.2022 This wonderful organisation is helping to reduce waste and provide fresh produce to those in need. They farm unused land to plant seedlings and seeds that would otherwise be sent to landfill. They also connect local aid groups to donations of food from Businesses that would be thrown out. Legends!
