24.01.2022 Some VERY exciting news today when young Stelios and Dad Kosta of the Richmond Village Store generously offered to match any donated items dropped off at the st...ore for our Little Things Christmas Appeal!!!! What a team Be sure to pop in and say hi to the friendly crew, enjoy the vibe of a country store with everything you need without the hustle bustle and while you are there drop something in the box to help those in need around Hobart this Christmas! #ltchristmasappeal #richmondvillagestore #kindkids

23.01.2022 Time to announce another "Little Things Christmas Appeal" collection point ... Richmond Village Store 29 Bridge Street, Richmond... Kosta and his lovely team at the IGA have generously offered to collect any donations of children's toys and non-perishable food items that you might like to drop in! If you needed an excuse to visit the beautiful town of Richmond now you have one :) The best part is that Kosta stocks everything except the kitchen sink and if you asked him he'd order one in for you! I'm serious, you will find goodies in this shop you won't see anywhere else and staff that bend over backwards to help This local family business is at the heart of the Richmond Community and we couldn't be more grateful for their support! #richmondvillagestore #supportlocal #ltchristmasappeal #littlethingskindnessinitiative

19.01.2022 Due to everything that is going on at the moment around the world and here with COVID-19. I have Decided to CLOSE on Good Friday 10th April and Easter Sunday 12th April so that all the staff members can spend some quality time with ... their Families and to relax, unwind and recharge. I couldn't be prouder than I am at the unbelievable Job that all the staff have done during these stressful and unprecedented times. The courage that has been shown by ALL staff members to keep turning up with a smile in the face of all this uncertainty. The way that the staff have helped and looked after each other and customers. I am truly honoured to be able to lead them with the phenomenal help from Tammy. All I can say is Thank you. We are all in this together and We will get through this together. (while practicing social-distancing) Thank you in advance for your Understanding and wish everyone a Happy and Safe Easter Kosta Richmond IGA

05.01.2022 A recap from the week that was... I was completely uplifted and inspired by the brilliant minds and big hearts in the grade 5/6 unit at John Paul II when I jo...ined them for a session around kindness in the community! Kosta and Stelios generously offered to match each donation dropped into the Richmond Village Store for our Christmas Appeal and we received our first full box of non-perishables at Little Things HQ :) We were able to lend a hand this week at the Hobart Women's Shelter when they put a call out for an emergency donation of some pantry staples for their ladies and children. Our Hug the World project is ticking along nicely and there is a couple of weeks left to get your orders in so be sure to visit www.devilknits.com.au and use our promo code HUG to make a difference today Thank you all for your kindness and contribution, this is all possible because you make it so :)

05.01.2022 This last few weeks have been a crazy whirlwind of a time It’s a new way of life at work at the minute with so many restrictions, lack of vital products and h...igh emotions.. During this time it has been difficult and so so hard to stay positive especially when we come across those customers who just don’t seem to understand we are all in the same boat Yet in saying that I’ve been so overwhelmed by the support the staff members have all shown each other , the team at Richmond IGA have come together as a family in this crazy and overwhelming time in our lives And I have no words for how beautiful some our locals have been towards us , kind ,caring and ever so grateful.. so many ask us on a daily basis how we are holding up , how we are coping and congratulating us on doing an amazing job ! We have had afternoon tea brought in for us , a lovely lady made all the staff members material masks for when we reach that point , we’ve had a beautiful anonymous letter left in the isle for us , a beautiful couple have offered help in a seriously generous way and today I had a beautiful bunch of Flowers brought for me which I might add made me cry ! It’s beautiful to see in such difficult times that people can still show kindness in their hearts So grateful for my beautiful family , my husband, children and grandchildren who are my whole world ! Beautiful friends , friends who are like family and strangers who have become friends ! See more
