24.01.2022 At the 2020 Australia Day ceremony in Lismore, Richmond River Historical Society acknowledged our 60 new citizens by donating two books of Lismore's history to each family. We are sharing our belief in the importance of knowing our community's history as a way of focussing our commitment to be part of this community's future. Here is a copy of the Welcome note received by each family.

As we are very limited in the number of attendees allowed at the Museum, we have decided to broadcast the presentation on Zoom as well. if you would like to watch via Zoom please message the museum with your email address asap and I will send you the link.

14.01.2022 The Richmond River Historical Society proudly celebrates NAIDOC week 2020. Perhaps it is a good time to visit our Bundjalung Room at the Lismore Museum to reflect on the land that "Always was, Always will be" Aboriginal Land and to recognise that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years.

14.01.2022 Looking forward to a visual feast with Lee Dunn as she presents "The History of Art in our Region" at our AGM on Sunday 30th May, 2pm.
