16.01.2022 GREAT NEWS, MUST READ Dear Members of Richmond Soccer Club 1953, As you know, over the past few years we have had our fair share of ups and downs. ... Today, I am delighted to announce a highly significant and positive development in the history of our great club. Ranko Cosic, who is a long time Yarra resident, has kindly volunteered his time to serve our great club in the capacity of Community Consultant. For those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting this delightful young man, who truly thinks globally and acts locally, I would like to outline a few of his outstanding credentials that will give you a better idea of what he brings to our great club. 1. Final year PhD Candidate in Business Analytics at The University of Melbourne. 2. Finalist in Melbourne University Community Excellence Award in 2018. 3. Management Consultant and Strategy Advisor to world leading firms and public sector organisations. 4. Finalist in City of Yarra Citizen of the Year Award 2018. 5. Chosen by the City of Yarra Council to be its Multicultural representative on the community advisory committee for the Fitzroy Gasworks Redevelopment being undertaken by the Victorian State Government. 6. President of the Serbian Australian Representative Council where he represents all of us with distinction while engaging with International, Federal, State and Local governments. 7. Victorian Representative on the Russian Business Council of Australia where he facilitates diplomatic and economic ties between Australia, Russia and other Nations. Testament to Ranko’s community credentials is the respect he has earned, not just within the Serbian community, but the wider community i.e. Ranko has received high public praise in official publications by the City of Yarra and official letters from former Mayor Daniel Nguyen and Councillor Stephen Jolly. Speaking of Stephen Jolly, I would also like to take this opportunity to extend our sincerest thanks to him for all his support for our great club, the community and the sport of soccer that we are all passionate about and want to grow and develop. There is so much more that I would like to say, but for now, please join me in welcoming Ranko to our great club and thanking him for his generosity and support.
