20.01.2022 A meeting with all CVBD participating teams last night agreed to the commencement of the 2020/2021 Season on Friday October 30th for Midweek and Saturday October 31st for Weekend competition. Matters of concern regarding COVID restrictions were raised by our Club seeking clarification as a Duty of Care to our Members. After discussion the consensus was that the prevailing restrictions at that time would be effective. Many of our Members were reluctant to commit unless they we...re certain their concerns were dealt with and safety ensured. Given the decision to proceed with the Season we are now required to advise the CVBD of our Clubs Division entries by no later than midday Tuesday October 6th. We have many members who are yet to advise us of their playing intentions, particularly for Weekend Pennant, by this time and date, so we can comply with this request. Weekend Members need to add their name to the entry sheet in our display board or alternatively phone the Club rooms leaving your name, or sending an email to [email protected], or contacting one of the Committee Members. Only then can we decide what teams we can enter and in which Division. If no contact is made we will consider you are not intending to play and won't be considered. See more

20.01.2022 Effective immediately Victorian domiciled Rich River Bowls Club Members are able to come and bowl on our Greens thanks to the lifting of border restrictions. Open social games are being played on Tuesdays at 10:30am, Open Jackpot Pairs on Wednesday's at 12:30pm and Open Social Bowls on Saturdays at 12:30pm until further notice. Entry sheets are on the notice boards for each of the days, or phone the Bowls Club Office and leave your details for which day you choose to play.

19.01.2022 Friday Morning Social Bowling has been discontinued for this year and will resume in January 2021. We will advise in the New Year the details of the expected return.

15.01.2022 Bowls Victoria have advised that due to Coronavirus Today's Pennant will proceed but matches are restricted to Players, Managers and Coaches only, therefore are spectator free. Players are advised to avoid the traditional handshakes for greetings/thanks with their opponents and not to pick up other players bowls.

14.01.2022 It is still uncertain if the CVBD Pennant Season 2020/2021 might yet proceed, and if so, when it will, and what form it would take. Ultimately the Health and Government authorities of NSW & Vic will decide what sporting activities can take place and when they can. Meantime RRBC will plan Open Social Turn up Tuesday's at 10:30am, with no set format commencing September 1st. Open Social Wednesday's at 12:00 noon as usual, with an entry for each week, will continue. Additionally... commencing Saturday September 5th at 12:30pm Open Social Bowls days, initially based on the Wednesday Pairs format are planned, for which an entry sheet will be required each week, will take place. Assistance organising these days is required. All 3 Greens are ready and available for play. Regrettably these days are only available to NSW domiciled residents until the Border issues are resolved and the Pennant Bowls Season is clarified. Any suggestions regarding playing format are most welcome and will be embraced to encourage participation levels. See more

01.01.2022 One month ago today all activities at our Club came to a halt following recommendations from Bowls authorities and Health officials due to Corona Virus and nothing has changed since then. Recent advice from Bowls Victoria has confirmed that this situation will continue, keeping in mind our duty of care for all members until the all clear is given to restart proceedings. This situation has caused all Club Events that were in progress, and yet to concluded, to be put on hold un...til such time it's practicable, if and when, for them to be reconvened and completed. Subsequently the Annual Presentation dinner due to be held on Sunday April 19th has been postponed. The monthly Committee meeting scheduled for Monday April 20th has been cancelled due to social gatherings restrictions. Many members will have received communication today from RRGCR CEO Shane Gloury regarding the Bowls Club Annual General Meeting which was to held April 28th and has now been held over to a date to be advised. The process for this to occur will be advised to all members in due course. In the meantime the current Commitee will remain in place until this matter is clarified. Thanks to Leon Sharp for organising the replacement of our notice board, ensuring it is watertight and well secured, over the past few weeks. In the meantime until we can all get rolling again, stay safe and healthy by observing our Social distancing restraints until we can all get to enjoy each others company again on the Greens. 01.01.2022 An entry sheet for the Club Mixed Pairs has been put on our notice board for those interested in participating to place their names. A draw and date for our Men's Club Pairs will be on the notice board very shortly.
