25.01.2022 It's important that we continue to reach out and support those around us throughout difficult time. It's also just as important to remember to ask for help as well as the company and care of those supporting us. Don't forget to seek support as well as give it. #selfcare #lookafteryourself #community
25.01.2022 As regional Victoria prepares to enter into Stage 3 restrictions this week, we want to remind you that we will still be open our regular hours;moving forward - for both face to face and telehealth/telephone consultations! Also note the 5km rule does not apply for medical care. We are still here to look after your and your family's health, and we have taken all precautions to ensure the practice is safe to attend including social distancing in the waiting room (chairs spaced 1....5m apart), wiping down with disinfectant of surfaces every two hours, touchless payments, staff and doctors wearing masks (and all patients are required to wear masks as per Victorian government requirements) and more. Your safety and health is our priority. You don't have to wait until business hours to book your next appointment - book online at our website anytime day or night!

23.01.2022 If you haven't already had your flu shot - we still have vaccinations available (both government funded and private purchases). Also if you had your flu shot early in the year (March/April), you may want to consider a top up flu shot now as the influenze immunisation is only effective for 3 months.
23.01.2022 Keep a dedicated work space. To increase productivity and make sure that you maintain separation between your personal and work life, create a space which is solely dedicated to working. This will reduce distractions and help you to get some emotional distance from your work. #workfromhome #takecareofyourself #tips

20.01.2022 As of May there were nearly 100,000 fewer GP visits. By December that number is expected to be much larger which is highly concerning. It's very important that you don't miss an appointment or hold off making an appointment because of COVID-19. We are safely conducting face-to-face appointments therefore there is no reason to hold off. Please book in to see your GP. #dontwaitmate

09.01.2022 According to Healthdirect, 4 in 10 Australian adults don't get enough sleep and feel tired as a result. Many of us also think that we're getting enough sleep but don't realise that we're not getting quality sleep which means that we still feel tired. So what is quality sleep? According to the Sleep Foundation, the key determinants of quality sleep are:... - Sleeping more time while in bed (at least 85 percent of the total time) - Falling asleep in 30 minutes or less - Waking up no more than once per night; and - Being awake for 20 minutes or less after initially falling asleep. Some ways of making sure that you get a good night of quality sleep include optimising your bedroom, not eating late at night and reassessing your alcohol intake. You can see more ways to get better sleep here: https://www.healthline.com/nutriti/17-tips-to-sleep-better If sleep is an issue for you, talk to one our GPs, they can help. #qualitysleep #selfcare #yourfamilydoctor
