25.01.2022 Learn how to create a cool 'Minion' Birthday cake or a gorgeous little 'Girl' Birthday cake for that next special Birthday! The class will be held next Friday 18th March at 10am with Colleen, our very talented 'Cake Decorator' visiting from Perth. Morning tea will be provided. $50 per person. Saturday we have one for the kiddies starting at 10am to show them how to create super cute Easter decorations for biscuits and cupcakes. Morning tea will also be provided. $40 per ...person. The classes will be held in 'The Kitchen' @ Rickaty on Blackwood, Lot 5 Brockman Highway, Bridgetown. 02.01.2022 Well !!! Rickaty on Blackwood have now picked the 2016 vintage Chenin Blanc and Shiraz grapes that are now safely fermenting away in freezer controlled temperature for the Chenin (10-16 degree c) ; and open fermentors for the Shiraz. About 300 L Chenin and 500 L Shiraz. Thankyou to Chris Shedley of Shedley Wines who came with two helpers and equipment to do the Chenin. His expertise as an excellent wine maker is well known throughout the Blackwood Region. Lets hope I can follow his instructions for the rest of the processing. We also had 2 Belgian guests who spent a few hours picking and learning prior to continuing their holiday.. Thank you also. It should be a good vintage as the weather has been perfect and the grapes were in excellent condition at picking. Here is hoping !!!!
