25.01.2022 Probabaly one of what I'd call the coolest 4wds we've had on the dyno today. The mighty 47 series with a 12HT in for a Valve adjustment, tune and minor diesel leak repair. Been non intercooled we kept the power levels fairly sedate but still putting out some very nice numbers for a 37 year old car in pretty well standard mechanical configuration. Putting down 132hp (95kw) after from 105hp (78kw) at the wheels through 33x12s, its no slouch, making boost hard and fast off the m...ark. But it'll be back for more after a intercooler is installed and we'll see how far the standard pump will go. Great work Mitch, magnificent example of an old girl. 24.01.2022 Few cars we've done lately, Isuzu D-max and a Landcruiser 79. Landcruser was fitted with a DP chip and turned up all the way to the highest setting. I was still only producing 98kw. After fitting a turbo back exhaust and on the stock tune setting, it produced 110kw, so we disconnected the dp chip and fitted up a NPC Performance clutch, MANTA Performance exhaust and a custom remap.. Results speak for themselves.... The #dmax was auto and was already fitted with exhaust, so we just gave it a custom remap picking up 20 kw over stock.

22.01.2022 R35 coil conversion done on the 2jz tip run ute, looks so much better with everything under the stock covers

21.01.2022 Another patrol through today, non intercooled so not chasing power but just a bit more go to make it nicer to drive and overtake. Responded nicely, no base fueling adjustments required (fuel screw) and just a touch up and set of the boost and compensation saw it go from 69kw (92hp) ATW to 95kw (127hp) ATW on 13psi. Once we get an intercooler on it, and if the customer desires, we can turn it up to around 115/120kw easily. But for now, thats not the aim and its a much nicer car to drive, with no smoke to boot. Last run was taken from 1300rpm to check boost response, making the same torque it used to from 1600rpm. 19.01.2022 Its with great pleasure that we finally get to announce that Territory Mechanical Solutions and CB Racing are now authorised dealers for Unichip Australia & New Zealand and their products. We've done a great deal of research in the background finding a truely versatile and effective product and the Unichip took that by a mile. In addition to the the tuning/remapping we already provide, we saw the need for a product to cater for all areas to fully provide our customers with a... outcome specific to their needs and their vehicles.. What works for one may not work for another.. A great deal of the decision also come from an increasing demand for the ability to tune the 79 Series Landcruiser 1HDFTE 6 turbo, DI ZD30 Patrols and vehicles like the Kia Stinger. But V8 landcruiser owners wanting a more custom approach also, this is for you! Using one of my own work vehicles as a kick-off, I was able to achieve outstanding results just from a fully custom tune. Its a 1HDFTE 79 Series with a turbo back exhaust, and a slightly upgraded turbo but otherwise stock. Been non intercooled (for now, watch this space for some major changes) I was very conservative, keeping the boost low and AFRs around 21:1, we were able to make this vehicle wake right up, making it a whole new car to drive.. From 96kw (126hp) to 128kw (178hp) through 35" tyres! That's great power for big tyres and the tuned run with 600kg in the tray. Straight off the dyno I drove it from Darwin to Perth, and even just on the High Power map, I saw roughly 10-15% better economy and at it would reach any speed desired at a touch. Testing economy with the Unichip off was frustrating to say the least.. Note that we can set up 5 selectable maps at the touch of a finger to suit what driving you're doing. 18.01.2022 So over the past week, here are some cars we have tuned.. First one has taken out the N/A LS1 highest HP for our dyno, the little freak show LS1 in the VY. With the last pic showing the before and after differences in tune, we made more power with 2 deg less timing then the old tune. But check out the power gains in the mid range to boot.. Secondly a VE SS ute making nice numbers And thirdly another VY making just shy of 390hp.... It’s been a ute week, and as always great results. See more

15.01.2022 An immaculate GU Patrol ZD30CRD on the dyno today for a custom tune. Fitted with a Unichip Australia & New Zealand, electronic boost controller and 5 map select... switch. Injector's are 200000km old and found their limit very early into tuning so we stopped it here for now and are getting a set of +30s sorted to wind her up! The 5 runs are as of the map select switch 1st is high power, 2nd is 4wding, 3rd is Economy, 4th is towing, 5th is usually standard but I added boost to that from original as it had a manual boost controller beforehand. From 97hp ATW to 131hp ATW for now. Max boost 27psi @19:1 UniQ module, map select switch and elec boost controller JT TM Intercooler Eclipse Turbo 3" Intake pipes and air box Secondary filter and catch can Watch this space

13.01.2022 A few mechanical tunes to finish off the week. Today we had 2x TD42 Patrols and a 80 Series Landcruiser. The first Patrol off the Rank (White) produced some very impressive numbers, clocking in at a final run 180kw (241hp) and 600nm of torque at the wheels through 33" muddies from the 148kw (198hp). We weren't chasing numbers here, more so drivability and economy but the 18g and 12mm pump responded magnificently allowing a perfect combination of both. There is more there but ...again it's not the aim. No fuel screw adjustments to achieve the target. Please note the later power onset is from ramping it from 1000rpm to check spool, I forgot to do a run from 1500 to show the new ramp rate to compare but it achieves full boost by 2050rpm. UFIs turbo still never failing to impress me on spool time. Second one was a stock as a rock TD42 with a 3" exhaust and no intercooler. Again this bus is for Touring, and, and due to no intercooler I was very conservative, but still producing lovely numbers for a capped tune. Perfect for towing and enough to safely highway run and overtake. Once the cooler goes on we'll turn it up to the turbos max efficiency and it'll be a great all rounder. This usually sees them at 110-120kw ish holding power all the way until the end. 66kw (88hp) to 91kw (122hp) at the wheels, 120NM gain. Again, no fuel screw adjustment at all. The anti tamper clip is even still installed. Third was an 80 series that I forgot to take photos of, unfortunatly it's pump wasn't responding properly but we still managed to smooth it's dieing power curbe and get it consistant and holding power all the way to the end rather then falling on its face, which seems to be a common mistake made by people attempting tuning of these vehicles. Started at 89 and wrapped up at 99kw and 100 more NM to the wheels. If you want your mechanical diesel set up PROPERLY, shoot us a message and we can arrange a booking for your dyno tune. 08.01.2022 Finally got a free minute to throw the HDJ79 work bus on the dyno, and made not bad numbers for the little green wheel first gen Gturbo. Producing 248hp (185kw...) @ 770nm to the wheels through 315/75 tyres on 28psi, its no slouch. Torque peaking at 2000rpm. The Unichip performing amazingly and flawless as always Unichip Australia & New Zealand. PDI intercooler keeping things cool even with the turbo fairly stretched on efficiency! I've ran this intercooler down some of the harshest dirt roads in Australia now and it still takes it in its stride, along with baffling temp drops when I did some testing on install. Performance Diesel Intercoolers UFI supplied +30 injectors also doing an amazing job. Armax snorkel and standard air box flowing great for these boost levels, I observed a small restriction on the dyno up top but no more then expected and no need to upgrade the box as yet See more

07.01.2022 Y62 Patrol in for a UniX install and tune What a car! Responding beautifully from just a tune and bringing out the true potential and fuel economy of these Petrol V8 engines using the Unichip Australia & New Zealand. From 156kw and a very messy power and AFR map standard to 206kw tuned and everything smoothed out nicely! Thats a 50kw Gain and 35% more torque just from a tune! These engines are amazing and it pulls like a freight train in the seat! Don't line it up in a 200 s...eries, we'll tell you that much.. Unichip UniX module- Tuned by US in house unlike most... Pre fitted full flow exhaust system We have another UniX module to suit a Y62 in stock and ready to go, so if you're thinking about it, stop and just do, you will not regret it!

07.01.2022 Yesterday and today managed to get a few landcruisers all tuned up. The first car (wagon) had a few modifications already done to it preventing me from doing a before run as the car was in limp mode, but here are the afters. Both cars had clutches and exhausts fitted previously, and one with a front mount intercooler kit by PDI. Looks like a really well designed kit and very good quality. Perfect addition to a nice overall package.
