21.01.2022 Leading up to the wedding, Sarah was having a reoccurring nightmare that she would miss the sunset photos on her wedding day. (And Phil’s nightmare was his mum putting his tuxedo through the wash on the morning of the wedding ). So it was huge relief for her to wake up the morning after their beautiful day out at @riverstoneestate and receive these sneak peaks to know she can now sleep easy .

With my work for the year floating away like this morning mist, it’s been a special experience taking the time to slow down, hang with my family, and appreciate this beautiful part of the world we live in. ... She’d quit, of course, but there had always been something indefinably satisfying about smoking after dark. ... Who had she given her lighter to? Unbelievable. She kicked off her heels and slumped into the rail, despondent. *Click* *whoosh* The characteristic metallic lid of a zippo broke through the sea air as it snapped open, followed closely by soft but certain footsteps as they came to a halt behind her. She needn’t turn around. The distinctive scent of Tuscan leather gave him away. He’d found her. He sidled in next to her, running one hand along her back and lighting her cigarette with the other. 09.01.2022 Earlier this year, I decided to enter my first photography award competition. It’s always a bit nerve wracking because you see so many talented, internationally renown photographers as past winners, I was kind of expecting to get laughed out. But I’m so happy the judges of the International Wedding Photographer of the Year Awards @iwpotyawards saw what I did in this shot. My boy @robbiephay whisking up his bride @sarahphayer as we got absolutely dumped on, and his face.... i...t just said everything. Nothing was going to stop him having the best day of his life with her. Thank you Sarah + Rob for being so damn beautiful .
