09.01.2022 Posting this here to share it but also so i don't lose it. Took some digging to find it again. Found this clip a while back of a great version of Mississippi John Hurt's Monday morning blues. The way this is played so rhythmically it almost becomes Hill Country blues which is not a bad thing at all. I'm working on a version similar to this ATM.

05.01.2022 Been meaning to learn Deep River Blues for quite some time. After hearing Charlee play it on piano yesterday it has spurred me on to do so. Haven’t felt as excited about playing a song since I first learned freight train by Elizabeth Cotten many years ago. It was written in 1933 by the Delmore bros and played on 2 guitars but Doc Watson made it famous using a Piedmont blues style on one guitar.
