18.01.2022 Hi, Had another lovely couple send a photograph of their new addition to their collection ... "Bach's Air on 'G'". This is a wonderful beach scene shot south of Sydney. A golden glory sunrise with lovely parallels and contrasts; glittering sand and rolling waves.... ... what's more, this large 175x57cm Acrylic piece travelled all the way to Argentina. I titled this piece after Bach's Air on the G String ... have a listen by clicking on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2j-frfK-yg Hope you are having a great day, till next time. 18.01.2022 Sometimes clients send me photographs of their piece that they purchased hanging on their wall at home. This one was sent from Europe ... I like how right in the midst of daily life they can look up and enjoy a bright and colourful bit of Australian Paradise.

12.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I hope that this email finds you well, and that the effects of this Coronavirus hasn’t troubled you too much. And that all is well with you and your family. Here in Cairns, we are in total lockdown with the gallery closed at least for a few more months. I thought not to write earlier but I’ve been receiving emails and orders from people that would like to use this time to bring something new fresh into their house. So in gratitude I couldn’t help but give some ...additional pieces as gifts. So in this, I thought to mail out a bit of sunshine. If at all you would like to have something new from my gallery, I would like to offer complimentary International freight and a second 50x16cm acrylic piece (or larger) free of charge. Please feel free to contact me. I really appreciate everyone who appreciates my work so would love to help in any way. All the best during this time and I hope that when this all ends that we are all the better for it. Yours kindly, Ric Steininger Ric J Steininger - Fine Arts Photographic Gallery Kuranda - Cairns, Australia www.ricsteininger.com [email protected] +61413223847 http://ricsteininger.com/ https://shop.ricsteininger.com/

09.01.2022 Hi, After several months, I am proud to officially release "Stardust #2" the 'NASA' vision. Though you may have seen Stardust in its original release ... as ‘amber’ toned, "Stardust #2" has been colour balanced more inline with what you would expect from a NASA perspective. Overall the shoot has been a huge project, a year of planning, and three months of shooting. It is a collage of a dozen large digital images of the night sky, stitched together as a seamless single im...age of the whole night sky horizon to horizon. Included is the Southern Cross, three shooting stars, Jupiter and Saturn, the Galactic Core, and of course the Milky Way. The initial release came out of the camera a little warm, so I went with it; with an amber tone that really is most alluring and mysterious. However, over the last six months, I have been working back on the original digital files to bring out of Stardust its full grandeur of colour. The base digital file of Stardust, with all its layers, is a 22Gb image. Hard to imagine. The working files now occupy 500Gb of space on my computer. But now the finished result of Stardust_#2 is nothing short of breathtaking. And its clarity makes it reproducible, in perfection, to sizes exceeding 3 metres in length. Here I am, sitting in my gallery, and on the far wall there it is just glowing. Beautiful hues of blues, silver, yellows, and reds ... with the Milky way almost sitting set off the glass; a real 3-Dimensional presentation. In the Gallery, people now get to see two versions of this ‘masterpiece’. Some simply love the original version and others are really drawn to the 'NASA' version. So I have decided to keep both. Its strange for me as a photographer to offer two 'flavours' ... but both have their own undeniable qualities. I am proud to say that I have met my first Astronaut who purchased a Stardust. He had only just recently came back from the Space Station, with his calf muscles still in recovery. I also have many Astrophysicist that are greatly taken by the piece the authenticity presenting their own work in such a grand vista. Christmas is around the corner and if there is anything that I can do to encourage you to purchase please let me know. All the best! 09.01.2022 Just hung a piece from near my home town of Canberra. This one is called Kosciusko Springs. A photograph of an upper stream of Thredbo river ... and of course taken in Spring. There was still some snow around though not visible in the frame. But the mix of a Snow Gum, a stream, and the rich colours of Spring are so uplifting. The moss covered rocks in the foreground and the forest in the background all draw you into the wonderful scene. This one has been presented at the 125x40cm size in 3mm (near) unbreakable and 100% UV-safe polycarbonate acrylic glass.

04.01.2022 Stardust_#2 'NASA' looks incredible in the flesh ... more so than as a JPG. Took a photo this morning with my iPhone of a smaller 75x24cm size in Acrylic Glass. Looks like a jewel! In fact, all my work as printed on silver paper and under Poly-Carbon Acrylic looks like a jewel, they hold light ... not so much reflecting colour but holding light and colour.
