17.01.2022 Real innovation is hard. So how do you make it work? Welcome to innovation in the Never Normal. As COVID-19 was beginning to unfold across the world, I drove to Milawa to meet the family behind one of the most innovative and successful global wine brands to come out of Australia. ... Brown Brothers Family Group have innovated for decades. Whether it’s consumer tastes, manufacturing or agriculture - they’re relentless. Beyond that, they’re passionate and obsessive. Not just about their wine - but also about their town, their community and people. In this episode I meet with Jenny Brown in their private family cellar. Surrounded by their most secret and prestigious wines we talk about how she leads the innovation agenda, and is the proud first family female wine maker. #CRLIVE #CRINSIGHTS #PandemicSeries
14.01.2022 As a business leader, how do you keep your cool and resilience in a global crisis? Welcome to the Never Normal. What can founders from the most successful, iconic, global consumer brands tell us about innovating through chaos.... I went to meet with two of the oldest living members from the Brown Brothers Family Group at their home in Milawa, Victoria. We sit in the original barn where the business started back many decades ago. Part of this amazing story is they tell me in terrifying detail about the time their wine business was on the very brink of ruin - through no fault of their own. Their story is inspiring beyond words, and goes to the very heart of what resilience really means. It’s an awesome reminder of how every disaster is a the best opportunity to learn and grow you’ll ever have. #CRLIVE #CRINSIGHTS #PandemicSeries

06.01.2022 CR/LIVE - Business Resilience Global Futurist Chris Riddell talks on CR/LIVE about business resilience, and how different countries have responded to COVID-19. We'll be connecting with Kate Carnell, the Ombudsman for Small Business in Australia. Also joining us on CR/LIVE is resilience expert Matina Jewell and Psychologist Sabina Read. We'll also be discussing the latest news surrounding the appointment of interim CEO for Ballarat City Council - Janet Dore.
03.01.2022 Big announcement yesterday as Janet Dore starts as the interim CEO for Ballarat Council. As I watched from afar, the recent chaos unfold within the council following the damning ombudsman report - I had an inkling that Janet was going to be called in. Not only to bring some badly needed stability, but also a vision for the future. Turns out I was right...... As part of my CR/INSIGHT PANDEMIC SERIES I travelled to Ballarat a few weeks ago to ask Janet about her thoughts on the future of local government. Here is one of the questions I asked her about the role of local government in maintaining stability in todays climate. Stay tuned for more of Janet's insights over the next few days... #CRINSIGHT #CRLIVE #Futurist #Ballarat #LocalGovernment #CommiteeForBallarat #JanetDore #BallaratCouncil The Courier
