20.01.2022 Great news- Government announces that COVID VACCINES are on their way! Our practice has applied to the government to be approved as a clinic that delivers vaccines safely to our patients. Two doses will be required approximately 4 weeks apart and it is so important that our patients keep their vaccination records in the same place ( here at our clinic). We will be offering vaccination clinics ( in a COVID safe way) to our patients, as well as expanding our hours to accomodate for the extra task of safely vaccinating everyone who wants the COVID vaccination. Please also remember that we require all patients to continue to wear MASKS whilst in the clinic.

19.01.2022 There have been some changes to the pneumonia vaccine programme for older Australians from 1st July 2020. It is now recommended for our patients aged 70 years or over to have a Prevenar 13 vaccination (provided it has been over 12 months since their last pneumonia vaccination) to provide more protection against pneumonia. There will not be a dose at age 65 years , even if you have had the old pneumonia vaccination, the new Prevenar 13 is recommended from age 70 years or above. Our nurses and doctors can provide this vaccine for free at our clinic in a safe way right now. Please book an appointment.

17.01.2022 It is good news about the extension of telehealth services until March 2021 - that means you can continue to book a telehealth appointment with your doctor. Of course we are able to see patients ( we welcome new patients too) for face to face appointments as well, as we have being doing right throughout the pandemic. There is no need to delay your usual health check or any new health issues. In addition, our nurses are here for all vaccinations ( infant, school aged and adult vaccinations), wound dressings, as well as their amazing role in chronic disease management.

13.01.2022 ELECTRONIC PRESCRIPTIONS are now available for all of our patients at Riddell Country Practice. Your GP can send your script to your mobile phone by SMS or to your email. You then just take this code on your device to the pharmacy and they can dispense your prescription. Of course you can get the usual paper scripts if you prefer, but the e scripts are just another convenient option for our patients. Please update your mobile number and email address on your medical file with your doctor or our reception staff when you are next in contact.
