20.01.2022 THE DAY FINALLY CAME... ELISSA CUP 2020 RIDDELLS CREEK TC VS COBURG TC There's a wonderful story behind the foundations of this cup. The 2 presidents both went to university together about 30 years ago and lost touch up until meeting again last year at the Tennis Victoria Open Day function. We then discovered that Coburg TC had an Elissa on their commitee and so do we... thus the naming of the cup! Ultimately it was great way of getting city and country folk together to meet and play some tennis. And finally after a long duration in lockdown it happened. Thank you to Ray and all the players for a great day. See you next year at your courts. And yes... us country folk keep the cup at home for 2020

16.01.2022 Hi everyone, It is with much regret (again) that I am informing you that the committee have decided to close our courts for all tennis activities from Thursday 6th August due to regional Victoria returning to Stage 3 lockdown restrictions. Courts will not be able to be booked using our Book A Court system until further notice.... Please understand that this is not a decision we have taken lightly, but we feel it is the best option in keeping our community safe during this very precarious stage of the COVID-19 outbreaks. 10.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Now that we are coming out of lockdown and we are in Step 1 of easing restrictions, this means we are able to reopen our courts for limited play. At this stage we are only allowing 2 courts to be open at any one time which will help us to keep below the limit of 10 people exercising outdoors in one location.... Please be mindful that the rules for social distancing of 1.5m remains in place and players should be practicing good hand hygiene and avoid touching surfaces etc. The club will provide hand sanitizer at the entrance gate and some cleaning products to wipe down the gate and pin pad before and after use. We appreciate your help with abiding by the rules so that we can get on and enjoy the game that we love playing and enjoy the benefits of exercising outdoors in these very stressful times. Thanks for your ongoing support and I look forward to seeing you on the courts soon!! 05.01.2022 WE ARE BACK... WELL, SORT OF... To all parents- the junior comp will kick off for the Summer season as soon as it is able to (possibly soon after term 4 commences). Its probably going to be the only sport that can be competitively played so if you think the kids need to get out of the house and back into sport... heres a great opportunity. We will try and accommodate any age and skill level. The competition is played predominantly and safely within our shire.... Coaching has still continued within this stage 3 shutdown. 04.01.2022 Dear club members and our wider community, Unfortunately I writing to inform you of the decision by our committee to close our tennis courts until further notice in response to the latest restrictions being imposed on all of us because of the COVID-19 situation. It is a difficult decision to make, but I am sure you will understand our position and our need to abide by recommendations provided by Tennis Vic, and the latest restrictions from government and health authorities... to help keep our community safe during this evolving crisis.
