24.01.2022 A huge thank you to all the volunteer flag marshals and officials that helped make today an awesome event. Despite the interesting weather fluctuations that saw alternating wet/dry track conditions every 40 minutes, almost everyone had a great day. Commiserations to the tuning group that only got 1 dry session the entire day. Who would have thought you would need to bring down wets to enjoy a day at the track in December. The next Ridedays WA events will be at Collie on the 10/11 February, with the bookings to be released soon.

23.01.2022 Motorcycles back at Barbagallo! MCRCWA / Ridedays WA will be running a Ridedays WA event at Barbagallo Raceway on the 23rd of June under the Phase 2 License issued by MWA. This event will have a speed restriction zone with a maximum of 100km/h from the entry of turn 2 through to the exit of turn 3 (also known as the essess), which will be closely monitored and controlled.... Booking details and further clarification of the event will be available in the next few days.

19.01.2022 A short update to our members. Yesterday afternoon, MCRC were invited to attend the MA track inspection of Barbagallo Raceway. We were there primarily to assist with the discussion surrounding the return of rider training to the track and to field any questions that the inspector may have with respect to the clubs proposal (refer to our past posts). 15.01.2022 MCRCWA STATE ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS Rd 1 AT COLLIE 15th APRIL. Well the wait is almost over, after almost 18 months since racing ceased at Barbagallo Raceway... following the tragic death of Chris Adley at the 2016 Kings of Wanneroo meeting and the handing down of the Hall Report bike events ceased at Barbagallo in November 2016. Fast Forward to April 2018 and we are about to embark on a new era with a full blown State Championship run on the Collie Circuit, commencing next weekend. It is a two day event with Tuning and practice on Saturday, along with a Ridedays WA Level 2 Coaching Course, and my spies tell me there are a few spots left for the day, so if you are interested book a place on Monday, you wont be disappointed. It is a chance to get out on a racetrack and see what it is like from a racers perspective. The MCRCWA Office number is 94091002. Sunday will see a full day of racing with track activities commencing at 9.00am. The following classes will be on track with some seriously fast racers like Ben Stronach, Cameron Stronach, Adam Senior, Leigh Boujos, Tim Boujos, Terry Teo, Colum Reynolds, Josh Mathers, Tom Hatton and Tommy King, along with the three wheel warriors like Murray Stronach/Steve Marshall and Des Harvey/Ian Menmuir in action and its a day not to be missed. The race day will commence with the ever popular 600/1000 Clubman Series followed by the Superbikes Championship, 125GP Championship, Supersport Championship, Production Series, Sidecar Championship and the B Grade race. Many of the States Road Racers havent ridden since the closure of Barbagallo but many have ventured down to Collie on more than one occasion. In the Clubman Series there are several seasoned racers who havent ridden competitively since 2016 whilst the class has seven Novice racers who have been riding at Collie, one of them Gavin Harvey made his debut last weekend in the Historic Thunderbike Class and came away with two wins from three starts. So get yourselves trackside at Collie Motorplex, Powerhouse Road for an action filled day of racing from some of the best in the State. JOHN INNES. See more

09.01.2022 RIDEDAYSWA BREAKING NEWS RidedaysWA also have permission to run some laps on the new track extension next weekend at Collie. All RidedaysWA and Tuning groups will get a few laps on the new extended circuit under instruction of our RidedaysWA Coaches, Officials and Course Car. MCRCWA and RidedaysWA thank MWA and Collie Motorplex Management for allowing this to happen. Book in now, still a few spots on each day and get to see the new extension first hand. All going to plan our next Rideday / Tuning Day on April 14 and first Race Day April 15 will see us on the full track.

09.01.2022 We are happy to say that MA has issued the track license for Barbagallo Raceway, so all scheduled Barbagallo events for 2019 are go. MCRCWA would like to ackn...owledge the efforts of the WASCC in the works program that they completed in the Jan/Feb period of this year, that included the addition of the chicane to see competitive motorcycle activities return to the circuit. The MCRCWA Exec are very aware of how quickly they acted to get all the design work completed and approved after consultation with MWA & MA identified a way forward, as well the minimal time to have it include in the planned works. Looking forward, our first competitive event at Barbagallo (Round 1 of a 2 Round Interclub Series) will be next weekend on Sunday the 10th of March. Entries are still open. We also have a tuning day for our MCRCWA members with a Competition License on Monday the 4th March to allow people to become familiar with the new track configuration, as well as check bike set-up associated with the new surface.
