25.01.2022 Two more of our very valued sponsors received certificates, bannerets and our thanks today. Connells Bakery and Wheelheat Wonthaggi, our sincerest thanks for your support as we raised funds towards the Lions Eye Health Program .

24.01.2022 Check out http://www.lehp.org.au/ especially the TV report under heading LEHP Hits The News. This is what we are riding for, this is how our event assists with the detection and prevention of eye problems. This is our fundraising in action. Not only is Ride For Sight a fun and social way to see more of beautiful Gippsland, not only is it a way to exercise and manage to put on weight ( thanks Lions for your superb catering, ensuring that we always have full tummies), but it'...s a very down to earth way to assist our local communities. As many as 1 in 5 children can have undetected vision issues which affect their learning, their social interactions and their ability to reach their full potential. The spot vision scanners we have purchased through previous rides are a very quick and easy way to provide basic screening tests and alert parents to the need for their child to seek a professional diagnosis. Lions Clubs are training members to use these tools and are currently moving around Gippsland and interstate testing pre and primary school children. Is your local school involved? Ask them to contact their local Lions Club and get on board this brilliant initiative. PS,Only three weeks to go, so get those legs pedalling. See more

20.01.2022 As preparations for Ride For Sight 2020 really ramp up, we feel for our friends in bushfire affected communities. Last year we enjoyed wonderful hospitality from Lions and others in Orbost, Buchan, Bruthen and the Bairnsdale area as we rode through areas that are now in a state of devastation. In years past Mallacoota, Genoa, Cann River, Nowa Nowa and other small communities have welcomed the ride.

15.01.2022 Braving the elements last Saturday-Ian dB, Mark, Barry and Jeff. In the cold and wet they rode from Warragul to Yarragon and onto Westbury before returning to Yarragon for a much needed caffeine fix. 3 of the guys finished in Darnum leaving Ian dB to ride back to Warragul. Well done guys.
