19.01.2022 Here are some tongue-in-cheek but very good tips when riding; Key in ignition. Turn Key. Motor running. Engage brain. Put your ego in the glove compartment. Always think of how much your motorcycle and your gear costs. That should be motivation enough to avoid making stupid driving decisions.... If it's not your bike, act like it. Be a conspiracy theorist. Always believe that the car in front of you, behind you and beside you will try to take you out at any given moment. Staring at your bike, no matter how expensive it is, will not make you a better rider. This may be hard to comprehend but... wet roads are slippery. The space in between those 2 cars was not made for you. It's a ride, don't get emotional. Never try and test how well your safety gear works. See more

17.01.2022 Don't forget to come along to the Shire of Capel Special Electors Meeting tomorrow Friday 14th at 4.30pm Capel Community Hall Roe Rd Capel. We are attempting to get the $6,000 of Shire funds revoked that funded the defamation suits of the Shire President Murray Scott and Former CEO Paul Sheedy against some of their ratepayers. Even if you can't get there until 5.30pm, please come along and make your vote count. Lets ask the Councillors to account for their actions. Please tag and share with anyone you know that is affected by this, we really need to get a huge number of people to attend the meeting. This is how some of our rate increases were wasted.

06.01.2022 Last Friday marked the passing of retired police dog Geoffrey. He was a German Shepherd General Purpose dog based most of his distinguished career in Bunbury w...ith his partner Senior Constable Jake Carruthers. Together they kept the community of the South West Police District safe with a very impressive catch rate for criminals caught in the act. Geoffrey was a much loved part of Jakes family and will be missed by all the police family. While he retired to his handler Jake only 7 weeks ago his working and home life was fulfilling and loved. Rest In Peace PD Geoffrey. Your duty done.
