21.01.2022 Hi lets run a road race training ride at trenayr this Saturday the 9th at 7 am all GCC roadies should attend- No race licence required - i recognise that we have all got fat slow and lazy over winter but it's now spring but if we dont start back at racing i fear we will never get going again and all that work will be for nothing. ... we will discuss the future of road racing in the club after the ride. I will pair everyone up with someone of similar ability and, so that no-one is riding on their own, you will need to arrive at least to the bottom of the finish hill as a pair and preferably to the line together. we will start the pairs in bunches / grades the course is on Strava so you can get your start of season times- something you can aim to improve over the season turning early with care to get back on your bunch is encouraged meet at clocktower at 6 for ride out coffee at toast afterwards it will be fun! encourage/ shame/ bully other members to turn up Support drivers and turn marshals welcome cheers n

05.01.2022 Hi race training will continue thru the school holidays ie on the 23rd and 30th September and with a return to full racing on October 7th. meet 6 am clocktower for 7am sharp start at trenayr- wear bright colours - the GCC jersey is ideal and bring lights for fog etc... we will concentrate on race strategy, keeping tight in the bunch and working together and looking hot on Strava, having a laugh then team selfies at toast afterwards. Hopefully we will have lots of talking from the senior riders guiding everyone to the finish format will depend on the turn out but aim for at least 2 bunches this week. see you there cheers n
