21.01.2022 It’s very disappointing that there are false accusations and misleading comments being reported in local media. One or two individuals have also been reportedly spreading rumors that have no basis directly to other locals and business owners. Unfortunately the people that appear to want a drainage solution the most are trying to work against a local family that are investing a lot money and years of research into creating solutions and major improvements to the drainage. Sadl...y these individuals fail to respond to our invitations to discuss their concerns. And one of them has been supportive to our face. We are completely open to questions and concerns and take them very seriously. Our studies are stringently researched by unbiased third party experts and engineers, the answers are true to science, not false allegations. Our comprehensive studies will be released to public at the next stage of our application. An ethical local company comes along that can help solve these issues as well as provide jobs, innovative ideas and have the environmental factors at the forefront before costs, and we get a few people wanting to work against us rather than with us to help the resolve some of these issues. It’s disappointing, but we know that no matter how good your intentions, you can never please everybody. On a positive note we have thousands of locals and neighbours in support of the proposal and are optimistic for more positive info in the near future!

21.01.2022 After all the rain the last few weeks (we recorded close to 350mL!) we thought it would be a good time to mention the advantages our project will bring to the immediate area in regards to flooding and drainage. Due to the huge freeboard storage capacity of the wakeboard lake we are able to retain runoff volume of rainwater and reduce the site runoff catchment by 50% ! This means neighboring properties will be 50% better off in rain events by only that one factor! Then we wil...l also be improving drainage and adding a bio filtration basin with an outlet control pit managing discharge from the basin. Over $75k has been spent on environmental engineers, hydrologists and professional reports based around the actual site specific science regarding the soil, the groundwater water and the drainage onsite in 2015 April floods See more

20.01.2022 We're relieved to announce that after 4years and 5 months of painful perseverance and commitment to our dream of Ride Waterpark, we finally have the first of 2 main steps in at council on exhibition for 3 weeks, with the second step ready to follow. It is for the zoning of the land to be put back to what it was when we first lodged back in Dec 2013 (which allows outdoor recreation facilities) , council have give full support to this happening but always has to go to public ex...hibition for submissions. (Side note: council are now blanket rezoning the whole area back to this original zoning by the end of the year). If you think what we are trying to achieve for our community is worth supporting, we would love some positive submissions via email at [email protected] between now and by 5:00 pm on 21 June 2018, quoting file number 58-2016-2-1 Basically the submission can be reasons why you think yourself, families, businesses, the community, could benefit from our unique and innovative water park. Notes to keep in mind are the jobs created and importantly the environmental factors we have worked tirelessly on.... - Purchase of land that involved no clearing or damage to wildlife corridors - Creation of one of Australia’s largest biological filters (all plants, no chemicals) - Creation of 3 new ecosystems on a site that is currently a paddock. - A solar system which will run the cable system with zero draw on the grid. - Tonnes of oxygen created per year with the movement of riders in the lake. - A unique clay infused barrier lining the lake edges to control sediment and any connection to the natural ground water hydraulics. - An innovative onsite effluent treatment system that is chemical free, isn’t affected by rain or groundwater/flood, minimal land use, no odour and can’t contaminate the ground it sits on and is aesthetically pleasing. - Construction techniques proposed to eliminate or minimise impacts to land, groundwater and neighbours. - Also a full landscape design done by an engineer with 40 years local knowledge with some really interesting concepts. Although the submissions are aimed at the land use, they will be used again for the DA of the waterpark , so lets show the council what you want in port Stephens. The DA will be re-lodged in the months to follow with renewed extensive studies & reports. As a long time local family we are really excited to work with you all to create something fresh that will support local families, community and business. Submissions via email at [email protected] between now and by 5:00 pm on 21 June 2018, quoting file number 58-2016-2-1
