24.01.2022 Tin Can Bay We loved the relaxed vibe of Tin Can Bay it's a quiet small town and was ideal for a weekend the highlight was feeding the Wild Dolphins, busy yes, but the kids love having experiences like this and with this one you are able to pay $5 for the fish and you are guaranteed to feed the dolphins, which was ideal for us as when we visited Monkey Mia in WA it was pot luck of getting picked out of a huge crowd to have this experience. You do also need to pay $5 per per...son for entry, we didn't get charged for Bodhi so all up it cost us $25 as we had 2x buckets of fish. It is advised to get there early around 7am as they have a limit to how many fish they can feed the dolphins, there was a fair bit of waiting around but they did do a little information on the dolphins before the feeding starts, there is a cafe on site so great to grab a coffee while you wait and they also provided some simple sand toys that the kids could play with. At 8am is when the feeding starts and you are given your fish and head down to feed the dolphins, Ella loved it and Bodhi went with Ryan but wasn't keen on giving the fish to the dolphins but happy to get up close and watch Ryan do it. Another fun thing to do was go spotting for the solider crabs at low tide we were told to go to Kindy Beach to do this but it seemed like anywhere there was a low tide you would get this experience and you need to stand completely still and wait, then hundreds of soldier crabs emerge out of the sand around you and as soon as you move they hurry back in their holes to hide away, it was a lot of fun for us and the kids! There is also a nice easy walk to do we took the one that took us to a park and the kids were able to run off their energy before dinner. TIn Can Bay is about a 30 minute drive from Rainbow Beach and 45 minutes from Carlo Sandblow, if we were to visit Tin Can Bay again we would choose to stay in Rainbow Beach and day trip it there #familyadventures #kidstravelblog #queensland #wilddolphinfeeding #weekendaway
24.01.2022 Crystal Castle- Byron Bay Been on the list for so long and we finally got out there to do it only an hours drive from the Gold Coast and you will easily spend a whole day there! The kids loved being able to run around Crystal Castle and spot all the crystals, we were able to send prayers off to restore the balance to earth by the World Peace Stupa, we sat in a Crystal Cave (beautiful), stood between two of the tallest crystals in the world, having fun walking through the bam...boo forest and visiting the large Buddha statue. By far the best and most relaxed part was enjoying lunch on a table made out of Rose Quartz with stunning views and a playground right next to us then also face painting for the kids, loving the positive vibes coming from this place and how kid friendly it was
23.01.2022 Rainbow Beach Fast becoming one of our favourites for a weekend getaway or longer Rainbow Beach has lots of cafes along the main strip, great playgrounds for the kids with BBQ's and the beach is stunning, this is also where you can catch the Barge over to Fraser Island, which we will be doing later this year. We have a 4wd so we were able to drive along the beach, if you plan to drive along make sure you check the tide times. But you don't need a car to enjoy you can walk o...r setup on the beach around these little beautiful cove looking spots that give you shade and you can also walk along to to see the coloured sands. The coloured sands were beautiful with shades of orange, red, yellow and white and so much fun mixing the different colours together to make the rainbow effect. 20 minutes away and you are able to visit the Carlo Sandblow, the photo's don't do this place justice a short 600m walk from the carpark and this natural wonder, a huge desert of sea sand awaits you to enjoy and the kids jumped right in! From climbing up the huge sand dunes (these would be perfect for sand boarding) to walking out to the end to see the stunning views over Rainbow beach this really surprised us! Just a note of warning it is easy to walk down to the bottom but getting back up with kids that do not want to walk and the sun beaming down is not that much fun! But once you are done well worth it #queensland #kidstravel #familyadeventures #kidstravelblog
23.01.2022 About that weekend away... We had no idea how many BIG emotions it would bring up! That weekend away ignited our passion for photography, videography, exploring new places and travel. Since then we have honestly been quite flat we remember the Sunday driving home how clear our minds were and we were inspired again by ideas on how to create that life we love just like we were when travelling then the next day back into the week and our minds were once again full, tired and uni...nspired. Some people love routine, predictability and plans we found out we don't we love changing scenary, exploring new places and unpredictability... That weekend away was like the wake up call we needed that what we are doing now, although necessary for the short term, isn't being true to ourselves and we know that 100% we are better when we spend our days together than when we are apart - - - - - #ridewithourtribe #familytravel #showthemtheworld #followyourheart #feelinspired #sunshinecoast #ontherighttrack #teewahbeach #bettertogether #queenslandweekender #travelwithkids #exploremore #moredayslikethis #thisisliving #familyadventures #travelplans #newexperiences #dowhatyoulove #traveladdict #seetheworldwithkids
22.01.2022 South West Rocks and Coffs Harbour in New South Wales 2 places that we wished we had more time at! South West Rocks we both fell sick for the time that we were there and only managed to see Trial Bay Gaol on the morning we were driving to Coffs Harbour, we were glad we got to see this place and we have to say it really is a beautiful spot! We even saw that there is a campsite set up around the area with stunning ocean views and one we plan to get back to when we have our ow...n home on wheels again, worth checking out if you are planning on visiting South West Rocks its called the Trial Bay Gaol Campgrounds. South West Rocks in itself is stunning and we are really looking forward to revisiting again and seeing more of this place. The caravan park that we stayed at however was one of the best we have stayed at yet so good with kids its the Big 4 Sunshine Resort South West Rocks a place we highly recommend the kids would be hard to please if they were bored at this place! Coffs Harbour great place and not enough time but we did manage a trip to the Butterfly House, enjoying some time at the beaches and visited the Miniature Holland Village which the kids loved another one on the list to get back to and explore! For this one we stayed at an AirBnB for our accommodation which was a great little apartment in a good location. NSW really surprised us and we are so glad we took the 4 weeks to head up to Queensland to explore it, we have only just touched the surface and have a huge list of places to get to when the time is right again! We plan to do a full blog on our 4 week itinerary including all the places we stayed at over the next few weeks which we hope will help others that may be planning a similar route
18.01.2022 The Great Beach Drive Noosa to Double Island Point driving along what is know as a sand highway if you have a 4wd well worth doing, or they can also be hired from Noosa. We only had a day you can go all the way to Fraser Island if you have more time, but with the time we had we caught the ferry from Noosa and took the exit and off we went driving along Teewah Beach it was a lot of fun, the kids are loving the beach driving we are getting to do up in Queensland! We made it to ...the end to Double Point Island and did the walk up to the lighthouse then headed back down to wait for the tide to go out as we were ending our day in Rainbow Beach. One thing we loved seeing was all the people camping along Teewah Beach what a spot, however not suitable for caravans but a tent setup would do just nicely

08.01.2022 Our little tribe loved visiting Albany and Denmark in Western Australia. What made it even more amazing was being fortunate enough to stay with some good friends of ours Duncans Do Aus. We stayed on their farm and they showed us what makes this part of Western Australia so incredible. We hope you enjoy this little clip from our time in Albany and Denmark.

04.01.2022 Such a gem of a spot Lake Somerset Holiday Park right on the lake, we decided to get back to basics in a Safari Tent and loved how simple it was with a view over the lake that was stunning, especially on sunrise! This is one of those places that sticks in your mind as it is basic, neat, has everything you need without being too busy! The park had a playground for the kids, a mini golf course and lots of open space to run around in and being right by the lake added to the feel. Lucky for us we got to enjoy the weekend with another family we met on the road and they were the ones that showed us this gorgeous spot! Just over 2 hours drive from the Gold Coast we will be visiting again soon
03.01.2022 Family Friendly Cafe in the Gold Coast! Pretty sure this takes the cake The Historic Rivermill was such a fun place to visit with the kids, lucky for us we had my mum (Kelly) come up to stay with us and this is where we decided to take her. Large decked area with views across the river, chickens running around, kids can feed the turtles and llamas and also meet the goats and pigs. Beautiful property and lots of area to run around in, ideal for a relaxing breakfast or lunch out, one we will be back to again it is located in Mount Nathan
02.01.2022 Even though we aren't currently travelling we still have so much to share! It has taken some time to settle back into normality and lets just say it is busy between work, kinder and kids we are right back into reality!! In saying that we have got another blog post up listing all of our favourite places to stay in Western Australia, we stayed at many places but these are the ones we would happily recommend to others, we hope this helps with anyone planning a trip through this incredible state You can check out the post on our website https://ridewithourtribe.com.au//places-to-stay-in-wester/ #kidstravel #westernaustralia #travelblog #familytravelblog #familyadventures
01.01.2022 Gardeners Falls, Maleny we stopped here on our way to our weekend away in Tin Can Bay and this easy to get to spot was a surprise for us! We love a beautiful spot that has an easy walk for the kids, the walk takes you through the forest along the creek with plenty of shallow rock pools, at the end it opens into a circular pool that has a waterfall running into it, with swings you can jump from into the water this place would be perfect on a hot day to cool off, it was too cold when we went but we can appreciate a great place when we see one! #queensland #familytravel #familyadventures #kidstravelblog #travelwithkids
