23.01.2022 This week Ridge View students and staff have been engaging in numerous activities, during recess and lunch time breaks to celebrate National Health and Physical Education week. The activities have ranged from bocce, table tennis, basketball, netball, 3v3 soccer, handball and the beep test. It was fantastic to see so many students sign up and be interested in engaging in a variety of activities. The key message we wanted students to take away was that being physically active has many health benefits and it is really easy for students to maintain good physical and mental health through exercising regularly. We hope you are have enjoyed this weeks activities! Basketball contest Staff Vs Students

As we approach the end of the year, we have begun incorporating STEM activities to encourage teamwork and collaboration. 7.6 and 8.7 were asked to create a bridge spanning between two desks at least 50cm apart. The students then tested the weight of their bridge by placing dictionaries and textbooks on it. The strongest bridge held 10 dictionaries. Blind Drawing Students tested their communication skills by describing an image for a b...lindfolded partner. The students' drawing varied in success, but all students enjoyed the task, and it was a valuable lesson in communication. Well done students in 7.6 & 8.7. See more
