16.01.2022 Was just thinking about a question I was asked recently, " what educational value does your show have?". I would love to have answered with this as it is true, I was doing an aged care facility about two years ago on the Central Coast, when this old fella goes, 'jeez mate I remember back in 1973'at where ever he said lets say Liverpool for example. 'a bloody big red belly black snake came out from under the log pile while i was choppi...ng the fire wood and scared the shit out of me and the wife'. I said did he try to bite you he goes no he just slithered away. I noticed that the nursing staff were talking among them selves and looking astonished, until a young nurse came up and said Bill doesn't recognize his wife or his kids and has not spoken a word for many years. Yeah I know twilight zone I call it hands on learning and have done for many years. When you place something in a humans hands a certain part of the brain opens up, I am sure of that, especially kids as children are learning every day of their lives,things that they will keep locked away for ever, it locks in I have had kids quote stuff i have said many years earlier and you can tell if a child likes your critters.A child that is willing with out fear will reach out and try to touch even if the parent is frightened themselves. A child who would love to touch it but , its A SNAKE, will look intensely at the reptile and look at you and the parent for approval. A child who is uncomfortable will instinctively latch on to the parent and hold on. NEVER force a child to touch anything they are not sure of as this could turn from a fear to phobia and that is my friends another story all together. See more

09.01.2022 i cant believe it i set up a go fund me account thinking, sure any body would give me money to start up my business. will not twenty four hours later i have received a one hundred dollar donation. One hundred dollars to me is a lot of money that will be invested into ridgeedidge. i thank the guy that donated from the bottom of my heart you know who you are kierran . This go fund me thing really works wow.

05.01.2022 OK everybody its done application is on its way. sent final completed forms or should i say folder of paper work plus photos to dept of primary industries. What started out as an application form has grown into a folder of facts attachments , references and things needed oh yeah the amount of money needed is out there, Donations can be made and will be accepted and completely appreciated. ... i will beg borrow but not steal to get this venture off the ground. please help me make ridgeedidge the best exhibit around. Now the wait for approval if i get approved i will be legal to display my reptiles any where in NSW. This has been a dream come true mate i have wanted to be a legal reptile exhibitor for well over 15 years. The biggest thing that was holding me back was the fact that i neglected my schooling to be down the creek catching lizards and things or traveling NSW in a bloody big truck with my step farther. as a result my reading and writing is very poor and i thought it impossible for me to complete the paper work and the money of coarse. I did let people take advantage of me and my love of reptiles just to be around these magnificent creatures and do what i love doing, educating people to the true reason we have reptiles and the benefit man kind gets from them. or just how wonderful a pet they can make, by having a pet it will be teaching children and adults alike, responsibility care and love. Now that cant be a bad thing. If you can love an animal, you can love a human being. Please wish me luck guys i think i need a break from all this stress, need my mum foster here i come. See more
