15.01.2022 A reminder to anyone purchasing a vehicle whether it be private or from a dealership. Ive just performed a pre purchase inspection on a vehicle with alot safety and maintenance issues. The vehicle was to be bought for a family with young children. Its not often i tell someone to avoid a vehicle, but this was one of them. The estimated cost of repairs would of tripled the purchase price of the vehicle. I nearly got arthritis and worn out my pen writing the report on this one.... Buyers beware!!

11.01.2022 With the humidity and heat this morning youll probably using you vehicle air conditioning. You may notice that your vehicle is draining alot more water from your air conditioner drain tube. As long as this is clear water this is normal and nothing to worry about. If it is coloured water/coolant then youll need to call me. If your around Jindalee and Quinns you may notice this more. Escpecially with the heavy sea fog thats rolling through at the moment. 09.01.2022 Recently a customer told me of an experiance they had at a local dealership. They had their near new car booked in for a logbook service and had a phone call from their service advisor. The customer was told the front brake pads and rotors are due for replacement and long story short it will cost $1500 for the replacement. Well the customer, being savvy, knew this price was way too high and said (to the service advisor) NOT to replace the brakes as he will do them himself o...r shop around. The service advisor then told him the brakes are so unsafe, he WILL NOT let him drive his car away without fixing the brakes and paying the cost for them. A WORKSHOP CANNOT HOLD YOUR CAR RANSOM FOR REPAIRS THAT ARE REQUIRED. All they can do is, advise that the brakes are unsafe, what is unsafe about them and have you sign that you have been warned. Worn brakes are not going to catastrophically fail but dont delay in having a second opinion and quote.... You have every right to shop around for another quote or second opinion. Unfortunately this is not the first time ive heard of this dodgy sales technique from dealerships. Hence why i get alot of their customers coming to me! Be advised people....dont let them fool you. BTW the same brake job quoted for $1500 at the dealership, i could do for $500 drive away. Using quality Bendix brake pads and Aussie made brake rotors. It pays to shop around and get a second opinion.
