The inaugural Fermenta Festival will celebrate the art of fermentation by local producers from sauerkraut to kombucha, small batch beers and fine wines, to chocolate and cheese on March 13 and 14 next year. 07.01.2022 Thanks to our brilliant partners at the Future Building Initiative at Monash University who came all the way out from Melbourne to deliver some significant valu...e at the festival. They brought Momoyo Kajima from Atelier Bow-Wow in to discuss our ongoing WAYOUT co-design project with Anthony Bond OAM. This is an ongoing project carried out with community consultation over the past few years led by KSCA member Dr Sarah Breen Lovett with support of Dr David Kroll from Adelaide University to think about how we can transform our scrappy little community hall into a model for regional regeneration through cultural engagement. And just for kicks, Rachel Couper from Monash University brought out the fringe pop-up "Unfolding Project" created in collaboration with Shaun Currey from Hyper Space and artist Dave Jones. The installation at railway square was accompanied by projections and music at night to create a welcoming social space for the community. Hyper Space also performed as dj for our opening night!
