15.01.2022 Congratulations to Brenden Maxwell who is undertaking a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) for winning the 2017 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Stu...dent of the Year for the RIVERINA/MURRAY REGIONAL awards, sponsored by NSW Skills Board. Brenden’s father and grandfather were automotive mechanics and this led to a lifelong fascination for mechanical devices. Brenden was given the opportunity to undertake work experience at Temora Aviation Museum Engineering whilst at school in Yr 11 & 12. The appreciation and interest for the historical importance of the aircraft and the purpose of the museum further convinced him that this was a career he wanted to pursue. Brenden was offered an apprenticeship after Yr 12. See more
