28.04.2022 Its with great sadness that I’m announcing that Rifle Handling and Stalking will be closing its doors for an indefinite period. it’s been tough year for everyone, momentum and motivation have been lacking on my part as it is been a real kick in the guts, but the page will remain open and we will always answer anyone’s question but the essence of what we do is no longer. I/we all have normal 9-5 job so that way we feel incredibly lucky, but for now we will close our door. ...Our hearts go out to those who are affected by this pandemic and those who have lost their jobs, its hard times but we will get through this together. For the competition winners if we get a break we are on by then we will all be climbing the walls lol Anyway, remember that tough times don’t last tough people do Stay safe, stay strong and pick up a phone if you need to talk to some one Staff at RHS

26.04.2022 A couple of before and after photos - i got the chance to go for a hunt with the first person i ever took on my course - hes a bloody nice guy and a great time was had. Well we had some luck a couple of Fallow spikers hit the deck and after hanging them for a few days we have @ 20kgs of snags - how good is that ! PS gotta love getting the family involved

20.04.2022 Gday all - well we are up and running again (finally) however due to other restraints we are only running our courses every 3rd weekend..but its a start....Im heading out on a scouting trip this weekend to find some new spots so hopefully have some fine pics to show you all so until next week.......cheers

26.03.2022 So the silly season is almost over and now we are just waiting for school holidays to finish so we can release some courses dates and get stuck back into educating again. Bella our resident cook has been trying some new recipe for snags ( the Apple fennel and sage ones are insanely yummy) and the smoker has been going flat out so once this semester is done she will be putting some post up so everyone can drool over, and of course try for yourself . My new Tikka in 300wsm will have its new bell and carlson stock very soon thanks to the lads at Impact Trading in Wodonga. With the building of our new home and the shed (with basic accommodation) ill be able to do some more taxidermy, as they are staring to stake up a bit. Well i gotta run be safe and enjoy some pics of some skins i have to post off in the morning.

08.03.2022 Well its that time of year now and with everything winding down here at RHS we are now concentrating on our own little projects - personally ive been playing around with a couple of new hand loads for my new loan rifles - i will say this the 375H&H is not that great to shoot after a few rounds over the bench but the 30-06ack is just plain mean (insert old groaning noise :-) lol ) good thing is that they are all shooting well the hand loads seam good and as they say "you'll never feel the recoil when something is in your sights".

22.02.2022 My Apologies for not being so active lately we have all been very busy, but we should have some good post coming up. We have a couple of nice Fallow deer skins in the pickel ready to be tanned and 2 beautiful fallow stags and a pair of fallow and sambar does all of which ill start the mounting process in the new year. There are plenty of vacancies on the course's We have also purchased a smoker - so im super excited to see what Selena will do ! will keep u updated with any... recipes that come to favour. Well ive gotta run - work calls Shoot straight, Cya in the hills AJ

13.02.2022 Tip for the day - always look ahead and never at your feet, there is a good chance if your on really fresh mark the animal is looking at you. Follow your nose - keep the wind on your face and if you smell something go have a look, it's the only way to get familiar with your surroundings. Yesterday's little finds - check out the canine teeth on the sambar skull.

01.02.2022 G'day everyone just letting you know that Bella and I will be on holidays for the next month - as always we will endeavour to answer any questions you may have as promptly as we can. As for our Technical guru well done for making the Aussie team, give those canadians and yanks heaps mate - shoot straight and we'll look forward to seeing some pics when you come back. RHS

21.01.2022 Its with great sadness that i have to close the doors to our little enterprise - the physical training section will have to wait till this virus blows over but on line we are always ready to help out, from the pre licencing to purchasing your first rifle, even to "its on the the ground what do i do now" we will continue to help - as is our way - I honestly dont know what the future will bring but if we all stay safe and follow directions we'll get through this together. Cheers Anthony

21.01.2022 Due to work commitments, canceled bookings and the current situation - we will continue to teach social isolation in the form of hunting.......

30.12.2021 Plenty of fresh sign was seen yesterday after Tuesday's rain - some was even right behind us, as you can see by the prints on top of my tyre marks. There was one unfortunate find a small sambar fawn never made it across the creek and had drowned. Come and join us for a couple of days and have a crack at hunting free range style.
