23.01.2022 IT'S TIME TO GET OUT THE SPF! The mercury is starting to climb, and it's time we get back into the routine of protecting our largest organ... our skin! The Aussie sun is brutal, and SunSmart recommends using SPF30 or higher that is also broad-spectrum (will filter out both types of UV radiation) and water-resistant.
23.01.2022 QUESTIONS TO ASK A NEW CAREGIVER: When enlisting the assistance of a carer, it can be overwhelming, and you may forget to ask some vital questions. The list below will help to ensure you have all the information you need when obtaining a new carer:... What happens if you or your allocated caregiver becomes ill or are otherwise unavailable? What are the alternate arrangements? Are the caregivers allocated to you adequately trained to cope with the changing needs of your loved one? Can your caregiver adequately speak and write English as well as your chosen home language? If you or your caregiver are injured at a client's residence, who is responsible? How is the service you choose to be paid for? Can government assistance contribute to it?

21.01.2022 REPOST : @rightathome_bromley . . Think and be mindful! ... As places start to reopen and the more vulnerable are able to leave their homes, please bear in mind how some people with the early stages of dementia and other diseases that cause confusion may not quite understand the severity of the situation. Be mindful that the world is a confusing place for them at the best of times and the last thing they need is to be shouted at for standing too close in a queue or for not wearing a mask Of course, keep yourself safe in the best way you can but please be mindful of other situations If you wish to speak to us about dementia or anything else related, please feel free to get in touch

16.01.2022 In light of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we thought it important that we once again share this, and encourage you to share it with your own social networks. Women should check their breasts for changes monthly, and see their GP should they notice anything different or unusual. #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth

And more than 20,000 Australian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer each year?
