22.01.2022 Finishing my week on a high, by celebrating a great win for our client My Big Moments whose book Baby On The Way was featured on the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson’s YouTube channel Storytime With Fergie And Friends, followed up nicely with a little mention in Hello Magazine. I just love seeing my beloved clients get the recognition they deserve! A great example of how one great media win can be used to create another!... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7U5xHlmy5M0

21.01.2022 APPRECIATION POST This gorgeous woman right here is @charlotteisaachq Absolute Queen of Systems and processes, Dubsado expert, plant lover and beautiful human. I needed some real help with freeing up time for me in my business and helping me set boundaries so that I could actually have the kind of business owner life that I envisioned I’d have to begin with I wanted the admin hell to end as well as the crippling anxiety I’d f...eel when I’d think about all the better things I could be doing with my time. Charlotte’s manner, professionalism and knowledge of #Dubsado made me instantly feel at ease. I’ve had a great time testing my shiny new processes (that look amazing!) that I’ll be rolling out to existing and new clients over the coming weeks. #VeryFancy I highly recommend Charlotte if you are looking for someone to help get your business house in order so that you can reclaim that work life balance and time to do the work that excites you in your business. A big shout out to @rachel_kurzyp for sending Charlotte my way! See more

20.01.2022 In all my years in PR, I can honestly say there is no average day for a PR professional. Priorities can quickly shift as unexpected needs pop up whether it stems for the news cycle, your clients or other team members. From an urgent media request, to a last-minute press release, a Rockstar publicist needs a strong sense of urgency to quickly pivot, reorganize and jump on it! If you’re thinking about PR as another extension to your business, I am always free to help you work out whether you are PR ready!

19.01.2022 I’m welcoming the latest Rebel with a cause to the client fold at Righteous PR - @mscarliemaree. Carlie is a true crusader on the internal shifts us women feel as we lean into who we are on an energetic level. She is a thought leader and industry disruptor with a deep understanding of how women work. Her podcast ‘Go Hack Yourself’ reaches all over the world and when we first spoke about her book, @Soulmodes ( A USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller by the wa...y) it was the first time I made the discovery that - I am not one ordinary woman. I am four extraordinary ones! Intrigued? So was I! I am really looking forward to sharing this book with media and with you all. I have been implementing it into my own life and it’s been a lesson in understanding that what I thought was my life being an emotional rollercoaster was actually a distinct pattern that all of us women go through. Stay tuned for more and welcome Carlie! See more

19.01.2022 If you aren't using storytelling to connect with your audiences, then you're doing it wrong. Why storytelling is so important to PR strategy. My latest blog on the website.

19.01.2022 Ask yourself this: Would a journalist or influencer be more willing to accept a pitch from someone who's been consistently creating content in their industry and building their brand, or someone who's never created any content? #NoBrainer Plus, surrounding your brand with expert content can even lead to press opportunities you don't pitch yourself ones that emerge organically, that come as a result of your industry expertise and wonderfully curated conte...nt marketing strategy! 17.01.2022 June is #PrideMonth, a time to recognise what the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) community have endured and to celebrate the trailblazing individuals who have bravely fought and continue to fight for full equality. I want to share one of the many special moments behind the scenes of a project by photographer, Richard Wiesel which has been a wonderfully communal celebration of LGBTIQ+ visibility, self-worth, dignity, empowerment and so m...uch more. Seeing Jackaranda sing this touching song was a privilege and a testament to the strength and openness of them and the community they are a part of. To all the fabulous Queens and Kings who have been involved thus far, thank you for sharing your stories of bravery, of radical self love and how to expertly contour your nose! I have come away feeling as though we need to do more than accept queerness - We need to celebrate it - For all that it does in pushing the boundaries of patriarchy, heterosexuality and gender norms to empower people to be seen as they truly are. #moreofthisplease #SHOTATSUN Credit: Richard Wiesel Photography

15.01.2022 There has been much conversation about the news that has unfolded today around #Facebook prohibiting publishers and people in Australia from sharing or viewing Australian news content. I'm still processing it and have been reading comments on both sides of the argument most of the day. And here's where I am at so far. While I understand the principle of this 'media policy', I am shocked that the government actually believed they were going to win in a ches...t banging contest with #markzuckerberg on this. I am not sure it's reasonable to ask to be paid for links to news sites and then want people to pay to read the article (in some instances). It seems to me that the news bargaining code is not all it's cracked up to be and that surely there was room for a better solution, one that actually understands the complexity of a digital media model. The idea that Google and Facebook should owe publishers at all for linking to their content, sending them an audience, and marketing to their platforms is problematic. And I feel like Facebook (who no doubt has it's flaws) is surely worth millions in the promotion to news websites? All of this chest pumping and now many online health and emergency services are going down in the middle of a pandemic and bushfire season. Not sure it was worth it. If you want to support your favourite media outlets then hit their subscribe buttons and sign up to their newsletters. I would love to hear your thoughts, was it worth it? Is media bargaining a good idea?
