17.01.2022 Are you located in WA? Does your child have a confirmed diagnosis of a specific learning disorder such as Dyslexia or Dysgraphia? Variety - the Children's Chari...ty WA is currently accepting applications for their equipment grant. This grant is designed to provide much needed assistive technology and resources to Western Australian children (under the age of 18) who are disadvantaged by the presence of a disability. Students with a specific learning disorder are eligible to apply and funding can be used for items such as the C-Pen, computer software and resources (including decodable readers). Families will need to provide at least one supporting letter (however, two is preferred) from a professional who has been working with your child. This can include a psychologist, occupational therapist, speech pathologist and/or specialist tutor. Families will also be required to provide at least one quote clearly detailing the cost of the equipment and resources. Children whose families are current members of DSF or who have been assessed through the DSF clinic can request a letter of support. DSF Bookstore staff can also provide quotes for resources.
