12.01.2022 Equine pasture renovation on heavy cooch/native grass using our Duncun direct seed driller. Wanted to add more variety and nutrients to the pasture while being mindful of endophytes. Used a high quality Italian rye grass as my main seed (no endophytes) and mixed through a few varieties of white clover then added some left over New Zealand rye grass (low endophytes). Cant wait to see how it grows!

10.01.2022 REFLECTIONS ON THE DESAFIO RALLY AND A GLIMPSE AT THE 2019 DAKAR The 2018 Desafio Inca Rally, which ended on September 18 in Peru, is now in the books. The ALDO... Racing Team entered the three-day race in order to get back into rally mode for the 100% Peruvian 2019 Dakar Rally coming up this January. After a two-year hiatus, the team was more than pleased with the positive experience it had despite the many challenges. To drive an unknown, off-road rental in a tough rally was a challenging experience for team driver David Bensadoun in the first of three very long and demanding days of the Desafio Rally. However, positive results in the following two-day Special Stages were quite exhilarating. Overcoming the obstacles of the Ica desert was satisfying, especially upon arrival at the bivouac at the end of the day. THE START OF THE DAKAR RALLY IS LESS THAN THREE MONTHS AWAY With this experience behind them, the ALDO Racing Team believes it will be better prepared for the upcoming 100% Peruvian Dakar Rally which will run from January 6-17, 2019. The difficulties encountered at the Desafio Inca will likely be greater at the Dakar, says ALDO Racing co-driver Patrick Beaul. Navigating on broken dunes to reach the top is not for the faint of heart. All you see is the next high crest, then the following one and so on. It never ends. Fear reached its peak every time we arrived at a dune crest that broke out into a 90-degree descent, especially when your eyes are riveted to the Road Book looking for the next navigation instruction for David. During the Desafio, we learned how to better read and analyze the soft sand traps and breaking dunes. This will be of great importance as organizers of the Dakar have said that 70% of the Special Stages of the 41st edition of the Dakar would be run on the Peruvian sand.
