20.01.2022 We received update from the Friendship Association of Vietnam regarding approval progress of our registration application for operating as Foreign NGO in Vietnam. Four government agencies have reviewed and approved our application and submitted to the Ministry Affair of Vietnam for final approval and issuance of Certification of registration. This is an extremely good news for us as we expect to receive the Certificate of Registration very soon and we can resume our humanita...rian project activities . It would be a challenging time for us to raise sufficient funding for our planned projects for calendar year 2021 as we lost 6 months of the year waiting for approval. We are reaching out for your support in making difference to impoverished families and children with our projects.

14.01.2022 Dear Friends of Humanity, To comply with charity law in Vietnam, we had to stop with our humanitarian projects until the registration of Rima Foundation Limited as a Foreign NGO (FNGO) has been approved by Vietnam’s Government. We started the application process in September 2020 and after 3 months of email exchanges we managed to complete and submit required application documents on Dec 04, 2020.... Due to complexity of approval process by various government agencies, the Friendship Organization of Vietnam in Hanoi through whom the approval process is coordinated, is unable to provide any indicative date for processing time. Below is the information, which was shared by Friendship Organization of Vietnam in Hanoi in relation to process involved for issuance of Certificate of Registration, which will allow RFL to operate as FNGO in Vietnam: Currently, we are still waiting for the feedbacks and will transfer your application and feedbacks to the Department of Foreign Affairs Provincial - Ministry of Foreign Affairs when receiving all feedbacks from the agencies. I would like to share with you about the order of execution: Step 1: FNGO submit all required documents to the Committee for Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations (COMINGO) Step 2: The Standing Agency of COMINGO (VUFO/PACCOM) receive, process documents and consult relevant agencies about the issuance of Certificates of Registration of FNGOs in Viet Nam. Step 3: VUFO/PACCOM collects feedbacks from all relevant agencies and transfer the document to Department of Foreign Affairs Provincial - Ministry of Foreign Affairs for issuance of Certificates of Registration of Operation of FNGOs in Viet Nam. Step 4: Ministry of Foreign Affairs transfer the final result to VUFO/PACCOM. FYI, we successfully managed to convince the local authorities to dispute and unfairness of any fines to our RFL Representative in Vietnam for carrying out humanitarian projects without certificate of registration in Vietnam. We are waiting impatiently to recommence our humanitarian projects.

09.01.2022 Project RF-0012 & RF-0013 Follow up RFL made a Lunar New Year Visit to Danh Vn Hin family and Lý Vn Hu Family for whom we built two new homes in September 2020. We were pleased to find out that the children of Danh Vn Hin family have finally obtained their birth certificates and are officially enrolled at the local school. ... Lý Vn Hu family are also expecting their second baby in April and they have settled in their new home. Once again, many thanks to Mr. Henning Klovekorn and Raisi Family for their contributions by sponsoring these two projects. 04.01.2022 Follow up Update of Completed Project RFL donated 600 ducks to Nguyn Thi Kim Nhâm family in May 2020 to assist the family in generating income for themselves. The family had already 700 ducks, which they purchased by borrowing a high amount of loan from the bank. The income generated by 700 duck was just enough for loan repayment. We made a Lunar New Year visit this week to see how the family is progressing in their life and give them and their children New Year gift. I was... very proud to see the family has managed to build a new home from the income generated from selling duck eggs. The government also gave them an interest free loan of 30,000,000 vnd towards the bank loan repayment. This allowed the family to save sufficient money for building a basic home and improve their living condition. The family has two children (14 yrs. old girl and 8 yrs. old son). I asked their daughter, who speaks a little bit of English, about how she is going. After a short smile while saying she is fine, she started crying. Then we found out, to our disappointment, that her parents have stopped her from going to school and she is working in a local shrimp factory now. After long discussion with her parents about the importance of their children education, they agreed to let her to go back to school after Lunar New Year, when the new school year starts. RFL offered high education scholarship to their daughter subject to her finishing her high school with high marks, to which the parents and their daughter agreed. Happy everyone.
