25.01.2022 In the days after the devastating bushfires of New Years Eve Dec 2019, some of the damage around the town of Buchan and in the Caves Reserve became apparent readily. Here is a snippet of some of the damage around the Buchan valley, and the well-known Wilson's Cave car park. (Ack: Roy Furness, Tom Maggs)

24.01.2022 I posted the first 20 or so photos (from Tom Maggs) into the Facebook album "New Years Eve 2019 Buchan bush fires - around Homeleigh" a couple of days ago, and today (6th Jan) I have just added 16 night time photos to the album which show the fire progressing across Moons Hill and the back paddock, and approaching our back fence. There are still more photos to come of the day after, and a tour along local roads. Again, thank you Tom for being there and for the photos. 23.01.2022 Rimstone Members and others. We are pulling together some informative material as well as photos for a Rimstone Co-op Newsletter to be emailed to all members in the very near future. Anyone with newsy updates to help our members understand what has been happening in and around Buchan and Homeleigh in recent weeks could be very useful. Please message me to get an email address for directing these. Thank you kindly Rob Brain.

23.01.2022 In the days after the devastating bushfires of New Years Eve December 2019, some of the damage became apparent. These photos are of the Scrubby Creek property, with some showing features before the fires, and others including the damage to the tufa terrace fencing and some of the vegetation re-growth after 4 weeks (Ack: Roy Furness, Darryl Pierce, Nicholas White)

19.01.2022 We’ve got our own Ecosystem happening at Scrubby.

16.01.2022 Access to Scrubby is challenging at the moment!

16.01.2022 The whole of East Gippsland suffered horrendous damage over the days (and weeks) from 30 Dec 2019. Fortunately, our "Homeleigh" asset at Buchan was saved - thanks to Tom Maggs being present with 3 CFA crews to defend the structure. This album comprises some of the many photos that Tom took during the ordeal (thank you Tom). There are more photos and some short videos that might also be posted. Rimstone Co-operative has other Buchan assets, the condition of which we are awaiti...ng assessment (Scrubby Creek Cave and property, and Shades of Death Cave and property). ** 6 January - Adding another 16 night-time photos to the end of this album. 07.01.2022 New dog proof fence taking shape along Slippery Pinch Rd.

05.01.2022 Before any fencing could be undertaken we had to clear a couple of fire damaged hazardous trees. This one was completely burnt out and standing on 4 legs.
