23.01.2022 Last year, singer/songwriter Dennis Russell and his travelling companions dropped in to camp with us here at Ringers Rest - RV Park Mareeba. It was during their stay, that Dennis was inspired to write a song about how they enjoyed the atmosphere of Ringers Rest and in particular their host, Dave. Thank you Dennis for capturing the essence of our "Bush Camp" RV Park & Dave. Thank you for a song we will treasure & for the new-found friendship we now have with you too. As the entire area surrounding Tolga, Atherton, Mareeba have reminent sites, markers and the Tolga Museum that all tell this important historical story and the significant role this area and is personal played in the Victory in the Pacific. To honour, remember and pause today, is tremendously important.

12.01.2022 This time last year.... such a tremendous opportunity for our little Miss T and her counterparts. A huge thanks once more to the fabulous committee members who make this all possible, year in and year out. . Sadly, current circumstances prevented the Mareeba Rodeo from occurring this year and it has been sorely missed in our community. However, we are optimistic that it will be back and thriving again next year and we cannot wait to once again be a part of this great annual event.
