With the large aperture creating beautiful bokeh and outstanding edge to edge sharpness across the frame, the 24-70mm F2.8 will be the perfect choice for those who want control over the depth of field and bokeh, whether shooting cityscapes or impressionist portraits.

23.01.2022 Meet the Staff! It's the last week chatting to the talented Jak Scanlon about his love of videography. Check out his page at Item Productions. to see more of his amazing work. ................................................................................ Why do you love working at Camera House? I love working at Camera House because you get to learn knew things, the job I find is based mostly in technical knowledge. In order to provide solid and honest help to customers you... need to know all the ins and outs. I get a lot out of helping somone find the right camera for them, no spending more or less money than they should. Find thier own personalised "perfect camera". Current Kit? My Current Kit consists on the Panasonic S1H with the 24-105mm 4/f Lens. Love this Camera for its full frame sensor along with its various recording formats. I run it with a cage so I can mount a top handle and my Atomos Shinobi Monitor on top along with a Rode Video Mic Pro when I need audio. What's your dream kit? The dream Kit would definitely be an Arri Alexia Mini LF along with the Arri Signature Cinema Primes. This is the sort of kit you’ll find used in many feature films along with netflix shows. It has an amazing look and quality that cannot be matched with any consumer cameras.

23.01.2022 Designed for content creators, the Panasonic Lumix G100 is a mirrorless Micro Four Thirds camera with a specialized feature-set for multimedia content creators.

17.01.2022 Thank you to Margie for being the staff member of the month of October! To see more of Margie's amazing work head over to @_mishep ................................................................................... Why do you love working at Camera House? Great people to work with, enables me to learn about a passion of mine. A good place to express yourself creatively and you meet people who share the same passion for photograph Favourite aspect of photography?... I definitely prefer the feeling of taking the photos and being that friend that people rely on to document memories. I used to resent not being a part of the photos but now I enjoy being the person responsible for capturing the essence. I love the feeling of waiting for my film to be developed. Photographer/videographer/ artist that inspires you? Narelle Autio. She’s an Australian photographer and her suite of work The Seventh Wave is one of my favourite photographic works. Her manipulation of contrast and space to create a dreamscape inspired me. She proved the element of the unknown is a component you should rely on in photography. Gregory Crewdson is another huge inspiration for me, the effort that goes into planning each photograph and scene is something I admire, as well as his ability to tell a whole story of suburban secrecy by making the viewer a voyeur to the situation.

17.01.2022 Meet the Staff! This month we are chatting to the talented Margie, to see more or her inspiring work head over to her instagram page @_mishep ............................................................................................. What got you into photography? My mum has always been the designated photographer and I think it is literally just my genes to want to capture moments. She gifted me a small compact camera when I was young. When I was in year 6 I bought a Canon... 600D and with that came a casual photography class at lunch time. What was your first camera? A little compact Olympus for Christmas. I realised I wanted something better so for years I saved all of my money and washed my sibling’s cars to save my money to buy the best camera: my Canon 600D haha.

08.01.2022 Meet the staff! This month we are chatting to the marvellous Margie. We'll cover about why she loves photography, who inspires her and a bit about her amazing zine she completed during lockdown. Catch her amazing work on instagram @_mishep ........................................................................................ ZINE CONTENT: Over the first few weeks of isolation I finally put together a small photography zine, which is something I’ve been meaning to do for ye...ars. It touched on the fragility of memory and capturing key moments in life. It was mainly to document parts of my life but spoke about time and our relationship with it, as well as the way an adolescent views the world. What genre of photography do you enjoy most? Still life, outdoor photography and what you could consider it as capturing moments in time. Random details you come across on your day to day journey. Like the edge of a building or suburban scenes, the essence of everyday life. Organic scenarios. I never experiment much with staged photography but I enjoy it when I do. In high school I enjoyed staging photography, I liked putting effort into creating an image. I had to explore creating emotive scenes for my folios, so I was a bit more experimental.

08.01.2022 MEET THE STAFF! This month you get to meet the talented Jak Scanlon who has been with the Camera House team for over 3 years, to check out some more of his amazing work check out Item Productions. The featured image is from the set of A Tale of Two Knights ........................................................................ Favourite aspect of photography? My favourite aspect would have to be story. There are so many ways in which you can tell a story through cinematograp...hy and even more ways in which that interpretation can change depending on the choices of gear that you make. Photographer/videographer/ artist that inspires you? Roger Deakins, hands down. Although this is a common answer for most cinematographers it is so common because the way in which Deakins tells a powerful story through camera technique and gear choice. You would be surpised how many award winning films this one man has been Director of Photography on, films like Blade Runner 2049, Saving Private Ryan and 1917. See more

Jack has his own business Item Productions. when he's not making amazing videos for the store. ................................................................................. What genre of photography do you enjoy most? I enjoy shooting narrative pieces for my cinematography work. Developing an idea with other creatives into a working and flowing story is incredibly rewarding when it all pays off. You really have to come up with creative and innovative ways to tell your story through the camera, your composition, lens and lighting choices all will help show that.
