25.01.2022 Unfortunately we have made the decision to postpone tomorrows come and try day and senior training session due to concerns regarding the current coronavirus pandemic. As this is a rapidly evolving situation, we would like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience as we work through this difficult period. This is a decision we dont take lightly and want to reassure everyone that we will continue to follow the advice from the Victorian Government and other healt...h authorities to ensure the health and wellbeing of our members and supporters is our first priority. Further updates will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

24.01.2022 Hoping to see as many players at "the hat" tonight as possible so we can do our first bulk order!

23.01.2022 Stuck at home on this cold wet winters (autumn) day? Do your gutters look like this? Give Matt Barrett of Mdb plumbing a call on 0417 509 902 to arrange a quote to replace them. Mdb plumbing can take care of all of your plumbing needs.

23.01.2022 Please visit the club's website for an update on our return to training. http://www.ringwoodsaints.com.au/were-back/

22.01.2022 Hi Sainters, As you may or may not have seen, we have been given the green light by Baseball Vic to start training from Monday 25th. There are some very specific limitations as to what we can do, the biggest hurdle is we are limited to two groups of ten people per diamond at any one time. ... We know all of us are itching to get back to the diamond. However, given the size of our club, how we can best look after all of our members will take some time to work through. No date for when we can return to actual games has been set yet. Over the next few days the club will be putting in place protocols to make sure our return is safe and inline with the appropriate regulations. We expect to have a plan next week but a lot of what we can do will be based on how many players (both junior and senior) we need to cater for. Can you please let us know (comment below or email the club) if you are interested in training with the intention of playing the Winter season with us.

21.01.2022 Whilst BV and the MWBL are working out the final details for the season, we've had something brewing down at Ringwood! Don't forget to register to train.

21.01.2022 The latest from the mwbl. In short we will hopefully know more on the 12th of May

20.01.2022 Local company S&R sports decals have started making Ringwood Saints custom decals for players to personalise their bats and helmets. Feel free to get in touch with the guys to have them ready for opening day.

19.01.2022 Some small changes to training will be required for Saturday, but the good news is we can still get out on the diamond for the time being. Once season starts dates (juniors in particular) are confirmed - we promise to let you know asap.

19.01.2022 This picture sums up the 2020 winter season! Thanks to everyone who helped out to try and get our season off the ground, unfortunately it wasn't to be. We will be back bigger and better next year

16.01.2022 What's this? Could it be sewer works in preparation for the new clubrooms!!

16.01.2022 On a day where Victoria records 0 new coronavirus cases for the second straight day it seems only fitting that today we thank our very own 00 Dustin Halse MP Despite our season not proceeding as hoped, Dustin still stuck by and sponsored the club. Not only that he has helped secured funding for the clubroom redevelopment! Once again thank you and we look forward to seeing 00 run around at Proc Park in 2021

16.01.2022 COVID-19 Update 17th March 2020 Dear Saints Family, Baseball Victoria today released a statement in relation to the current COVID-19 pandemic and what that means for us as a baseball community.... In short, we along with all other baseball clubs need to cease all activities for 21 days (Until 7th April). At this stage the winter season will go ahead as planned, however as with all aspects of life at the moment, this could change. We will do our best to keep you updated with any further developments. In the meantime, please: 1. Wash your hands (properly - min 20 seconds) 2. If you are not feeling well - stay home! Its probably just a cold, and worse, everyone will hate you for turning up anyway. 3. If you happen to be at the shops and there is stuff on the shelves, take ONLY what you need for NOW. There will be more next week as long as EVERYONE is reasonable. 4. Check up on your family and teammates. There is a fair bit of anxiety and uncertainty around at the moment, a phone call or message could make all the difference. Who knows they might just need a roll of toilet paper. Oh, one more thing, the full update from Baseball Victoria can be found here: http://baseballvictoria.com.au//baseball-victoria-covid-19

16.01.2022 Update Post from the President http://www.mwbl.com.au/2020/05/covid-19-update-17-05-2020/ Currently, we are working through the requirements to get baseball bac...k in action with Baseball Victoria. We hope for further information in the next few days.

16.01.2022 We have some Good News and Bad News Sainters. First the Bad News Those of you that have been to training the last few weeks will know just how soggy the grounds currently are. With quite a bit of rain forecast for tonight we have to unfortunately cancel junior training tomorrow as we can't risk digging up the ground any further so close to the start of the season. Throw in restrictions on the batting cages, dugouts and clubrooms and we dont have anywhere dry for people to ev...en wait if it is raining. A decision on senior training will be made mid morning. Yes you did read start of the season So time for some Good News! The MWBL are looking at restarting baseball as soon as practical. For Junior competitions 11th July 2020 (Last Saturday of School Holidays) 19th September 2020 (First week of School Holidays) For Senior competitions 25th July 2020 3rd October 2020 The leagues plan is for the competition to be structured as a 9 home and away games, with 2 rounds of finals for both juniors and seniors. The structure of the senior competition is still a work in progress and details will be realised in due course. Please bear in mind: These are tentative dates. MWBL are working on these dates being approved, but they are not set in stone as yet. These dates will also depend on the State Government not changing restrictions due to flare ups with COVID-19, or any other reason. We will post any further updates form Baseball Victoria and the MWBL as soon as we can. Thanks for you understanding and remember to wash you hands and socially distance - we are almost back on the diamond.

15.01.2022 Many people need to be thanked for what the club has been able to achieve in the past 24 hours. Last night we kicked off our first Tball session, thanks to the parents who helped to "herd the cats" as we say. Today it was fantastic to see our rookie ballers, u/13s, u/15s and u/17s all training then followed by seniors. Thank you to our major sponsors Dustin Halse and Mdb plumbing, in a year where raising money will have its challenges we appreciate you sticking with us and he...lping us to get out onto the diamond. There have been countless emails, policies, signs, and instructions that have had to be worked through and I can't thank Cameron rogers, Leonie Branson, and Aaron Holloway enough for the time they have given to make this happen. Not to mention the rest of the committee. A big thanks to Brighty who once again not only did a fantastic job with senior training but also got down early to train the u/15s. Thanks to all the coaches and team managers who stuck to the sanitizing protocols and the teamanagers for submitting player lists. Many hands make light work, if we all chip in, put our hand to help where we can we can make the most of this extended pre-season and hopefully dominate if or when the season starts. I look forward to seeing more and more people over the coming weeks at training. Regards - Prez

12.01.2022 Today is R U OK? Day. It is a day that reminds us all to watch out for those around us and to remember that every day is a day to ask someone R U OK? if you think they might struggling. This year's theme is 'There's more to say after RU OK?' You don't have to be an expert to keep the conversation going, but the people at R U OK have developed some helpful tips and resources here: https://www.ruok.org.au/how-to-ask

10.01.2022 They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.

10.01.2022 Some changes that came through last night. Training numbers have returned to Groups of 20, plus coaches (max 2). The DHHS website has now re-added the Return to... Full-contact training and competition dates on their website. This gives us hope to see senior competition start as planned. We are still waiting and watching the updated advice as it comes from Government.

09.01.2022 With the Victorian Government announcing further easing of restrictions starting next week, we remain in communication with Baseball Victoria and the MWBL regarding potential return to play dates and conditions surrounding the start of the 2020 winter season. To assist the Committee and Coaches in planning for the season ahead, we are asking all members to complete a short Intent to Play survey so we can establish player numbers (so we can correctly enter the right number o...f teams) and address any of your concerns ahead of the season. 02.01.2022 Hello everyone, we are just 2 sleeps away from one of the most important days of the year! Come and try days are possibly two of the most important days of the year. Turning up to these days could be the next Adam Bright, the next Jacob Sheldon-Collins or the next 500+ game life member. Come and try days are the first impression we give to prospective players and their families. Leonie amongst many others work very hard to get new potential players to our club. It is importa...nt that everyone does there best to provide the best possible experience for these kids so that they sign up and hopefully become life long sainters. I understand the summer season has only just finished for some and for others it is still going! However, for those who can make it, please come down to senior training and just as importantly give up a further hour and a half and help the future of our club. Many of you played juniors at ringwood and will recall senior players coaching and being a part of your junior development. Now is the time to start repaying the goodwill. Furthermore, we are in need of some senior players to help with coaching junior teams. The intention is for u/15s and 17s to train on a Wednesday nights and u/13s and rookie ball on a Thursday night before senior training. There are benefits to coaching a junior side, if you are interested please get in contact with Leonie or Luke. I look forward to seeing as many people as possible on Saturday, and best of luck to those who are playing.

02.01.2022 The ringwood saints baseball club would like to welcome Edward "Teddy" Alexander Halse to the family. In four years time we look forward to seeing him in a tball uniform that fits Congratulations Dustin and Rachel, may Teddy bring you mountains of joy in these challenging times. Dustin Halse MP

02.01.2022 Sad News Sainters. We have been advised by MWBL that despite everyones best efforts we must announce the cancellation of the 2020 season, for both Seniors and Juniors. Baseball Victoria has confirmed that clubs may continue training if they wish, but all restrictions must be adhered to as per the guidelines set in place by Baseball Victoria.... Please be patient as we work out what this means for us. We hope to be able to provide our members (especially our juniors) the opportunity to continue their baseball development over the next few months. Once we receive confirmation/clarification on a number of items we will be able to provide you with more information. In the meantime - tomorrows training sessions for both juniors and seniors has been cancelled. Tomorrows registration and uniform fitting for juniors has also been cancelled. We would like to say thank you to the committee, coaching staff and volunteers for the many hours of work done up to this point - it has been a challenging time to say the least. So although there will be no competitive baseball this winter we arent saying see you next year just yet. Stay safe and stay in touch. Luke Painter Club President
