20.01.2022 Hello everyone. Following recent Government updates & new COVID cases we're putting a few extra precautionary measures into place to increase safety measures & help you feel as safe as possible coming to classes over the weekend until further updates come through from QLD Government. These extra precautions are: 1. We have purchased disposable face masks which will be available to you free of charge over the weekend on arrival at class should you wish to wear one. 2. Our team... will be wearing facemasks whenever in close proximity. 3. Classes will be adjusted to dance everything in an open frame (holding hands) unless you're a couple from the same household. 4. You're very welcome to attend dancing solo or in wi-fi if you prefer, please just let your teachers know on arrival. 5. Extra sanitising between any partner changes with minimal partner changes will be in place along with extra care across all areas of our COVID safe plan. As at time of sharing this the current DPPA (Dance & Physical Performing Arts) COVID Safe plan is still approved as per direction when we checked directly with QLD Health. We will continue to stay up to date & share updates as they come through should anything change. The above extra precautions are extra measures we've decided to take to do as much as we can to help minimise the possible spread & protect everyone's health & safey as much as we can. The quarantine period was challenging in so many ways, and one of those ways for so many of us was definitely not being able to partner dance. During our Performance Team Zoom sessions, we decided to work on a Samba no Pé choreography as an inspiring challenge to keep us motivated through uncertain times.... We're back on track with classes 7 days a week & growing weekend dancing opportunities, but we're not back to our pre-Covid health just yet, so our office hours are still lighter than they used to be.... After confirming with AusDance that while social dance nights are not yet approved, guided practice when combined with instruction is a-ok under the current industry COVID Safe Plan.... So we're over the moon to be bringing Saturday nights slowly back to life in the Studio with you. Spaces are strictly limited, with only 28 spots available each Saturday.
