24.01.2022 is smitten with our lovely new daughter, Mabel Rose Chanter, born January 27, at 2am, weighing 3.74kg (8 pounds 4 ounces) at Wodonga Hospital. She loves to drink and sleep and can't wait to do the cafe circuit.

15.01.2022 reckons you have to love the Christmas street party: a neighbour, 93, had made sandwiches to share; the cool teens turned up late to polish off the last of the home-made quiche; the home-brew was back; Chiltern cherries were fresh from the orchard; and our daughter didn't even notice her two skun knees until it was time to leave (lucky we didn't have far to carry!) ...

We're also celebrating the arrival of our adorably-delicious niece, Chloe Lilian, born on December 19 ... just as we thought we'd finished our Christmas shopping!!
