16.01.2022 Our team in Victoria carry out bud dissections for table grapes, where they identify fruitful buds and supply a yield potential to the grower. This also helps with nutrition forecasts and pruning. #ripehorticulture #tablegrapes #buddissections #victoria #nutrition #pruning

11.01.2022 After harvest is complete, for all crops is time to prep the soil for the next season, replenish what is missing, and build up the soil's potential. We start this process by taking a Nutrition / Soil Test and we analyze nutrients, soil health, and any improvements. Couple this with yield information. #ripehorticulture #soiltest #soilhealth #soilnutrition #soilanalysis

09.01.2022 Avocado fruit drop time- stressful time for growers, the fruit grows and then the tree decides it can’t cope! Is exacerbated by low soil moisture and hot weather- which we have both of right now! Thankfully it usually only occurs where trees are over-loaded, self preservation in a way! Just need to look back up to the tree to the fruit remaining and smile!

08.01.2022 Macadamias drop naturally onto the ground, or can be shaken onto the ground. They are then swept up by machines and sent to the processing factory. This image is from 3.5 year old trees, more macadamia fruits are still on the trees! #macadamia #nuts #australia #bundaberg #agronomy #ripehorticulture #harvest

07.01.2022 That exciting time when male and female flowers open at the same time!

04.01.2022 During autumn, avocados go through their major root flush. This is a great time to rebuild the trees' nutrient levels after the season. #rootflush, #farming, #avocado, #australia, #agronomy, #ripehorticulture

02.01.2022 Avocados: After a dry summer mite infestations can become a regular occurrence, despite the weather cooling down. When the balance between beneficial and pest species becomes unviable, these guys (tea-red spider mite), will dominate! #ripehorticulture #pests #avocado #beneficial #insects #tearedspidermite
