24.01.2022 As the temperature and winds increase today, bushfires are again likely to threaten Falls Creek. Earlier this week, some cooler days and rain have allowed our t...eams and the CFA to make the best preparations possible to defend our infrastructure and community. We’d like to once again thank our staff, emergency services and the local community who continue to work so hard and with such bravery to help protect our resort. In particular today, we’d like to express our deep appreciation for the CFA currently in Falls Creek to defend our resort on several fronts. Our positive thoughts are with them, and we remain resilient and united in fighting to preserve our beautiful resorts.

18.01.2022 As we head into Sunday we are happy to report that we have not experienced any damage in resort through the significant fire activity yesterday. The cool change... that came through last night has seen the threat to the resort ease for now. A massive thank you is deserved for the CFA team in resort that have done such a wonderful job working to prepare and secure the resort. Fires remain active nearby and access to Falls Creek remains closed. It will be a challenging period ahead for all that are connected with Falls Creek. We will continue to work with the CFA and all resort stakeholders to prepare and secure Falls Creek for further fire threats so we can protect both resort assets and our community over the coming weeks. A grassroots campaign for Australians to comme...morate Anzac Day at dawn in their driveways is gathering momentum across the country. With traditional services and marches cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, RSL branches in every state have unanimously endorsed the gesture, with families across the nation expected to stand at their gates, on balconies or verandahs at 6am on Saturday April 25.
