23.01.2022 Whether you have 1 hive or 1000 hives, every beekeeper should be registered. In Western Australia, you are legally required to register with the Department of ...Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) brands office. Details can be found online. Once registered you should mark your hives with your specific brand. By registering you are supporting our industry to educate beekeepers and manage disease outbreaks.

21.01.2022 There has been a lot of imported Beeswax foundation advertised lately. ALWAYS make sure what you buy for your hive is 100% Australian. Australia has the cleanest wax pool in the World, lets not stuff it up for the sake of a few dollars.

21.01.2022 In Hubei province, the epicentre of COVID-19 in China, a survey of beekeepers was conducted. A total of 5115 beekeepers were surveyed from February 23 to March 8, including 723 in Wuhan, the outbreak epicentre of Hubei. None of these beekeepers developed symptoms associated with COVID-19, and their health was totally normal. Just sayin... https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7190514/

18.01.2022 One of the trends on the internet is #throwbackthursday where we have a look at how things used to be. This is a documentary from 1947 on Commercial Beekeeping. It is curious to watch! Would you go out in your shorts and without a bee suit? What else do you notice that is different? https://youtu.be/AjsvuPc4sl4 #throwbackthursday #beekeeping #australianbees... 18.01.2022 We thought that once a week we would make a focus on a different product on our website. This product is one of our more recent to be added to the website. The "Great Escape" by Ceracell... We have had many WA Beekeepers give amazing feedback on these escape boards, confirming claims that its quite possibly the most efficient and best design clearer in the world. It provides the best pheromone transfer and has plenty of room underneath to accommodate the bees escaping. Constructed of food grade polypropylene, it is the most inert substance known to man. So it will last for years. It will become a family heirloom and youll end up leaving it to your grandchildren. Priced to match or better any other old style escape board with a similar number of escape avenues, you wont find better value. 8 and 10 frame sizes available. Check out this product on our website: https://ripplefarm.com.au/product/great-escape-by-ceracell/ #ripplefarm #beekeeping #beekeepingsupplies If you have a question or a comment - why not share it? And dont forget - you can always message and have us help with your order if you need to. We want it to be an easy process for you.

08.01.2022 Well done to the State Government!

07.01.2022 #supportlocal #honey #beekeeping Australias whole honey industry is under threat from imported honey. Imported honey could carry viruses such as foul-brood and may be toxic due to pollution. Some beekeepers feed their bees corn syrup or sugar. Bees store this the same way as they do honey and its harvested. Laws on antibiotic use dont exist and they may be present in the honey. The solution is for Australians to support local beekeepers and buy local.... This community honey map connects consumers to beekeepers. Source: https://www.beethecure.com.au/honey-map-2/

06.01.2022 Beekeeping in Western Australia, you wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world right now

05.01.2022 It is #love that is present in the life of sex, and love belongs to the realm of the #soul; and further, through the fact that certain organs of the body are wo...rked upon by forces of the soul, these organs become able to reveal, to express #love. Thus, because all this is driven into the background in the nature of the bees, and reserved for the Queen bee alone, the whole otherwise #sexual life of the colony is transformed into those activities which the bees develop among themselves. It was for this reason that in olden times wise men related the whole wonderful activity within the hive to the life of love. This unconscious #wisdom is unfolded by the bees in their external activity. What we only experience when love arises in our hearts is to be found, as it were, in the whole bee-hive as substance. The whole hive in reality is really permanented in #love. #rudolfsteiner #pollination #sex #savethebees See more
