23.01.2022 I exceed in life and still struggle with anxiety, how is that possible? It`s called high functioning anxiety. A person suffering under this might be THE picture of success. They are properly at work before everyone else, neatly dressed and perfectly styled. Your co-workers like you and would describe you as someone who is driven. You are always willing to help others or to stay back, you have never missed a deadline. On top of that you have a busy social life What`s not so... obvious is this constant fear of failure that is something you are keeping to yourself. You are nervous all the time, scared to do something wrong or to disappoint others that helped you to success. You are a perfectionist always striving to give 120%, regardless of what falls behind, you can not let the team down. You would never dare to call in sick, even though you really need a day off to relax or to catch up on sleep since your sleep is not the best neither you just keep worrying too much during the night, but calling sick is simply not your style you like to portray yourself as someone who has it all together. At times you find it hard to concentrate, your lack of sleep and the constant worries are affecting your life. Sometimes you have to read a page a couple of times until you actually comprehend what`s written on there, your mind just keeps wandering off. Nothing is ever good enough. You are working so hard, you are double checking everything before you deliver your work and then once it`s done you will still find something what is wrong with it. If you find yourself in this description, there is a high possibility that you have high functioning anxiety. This type of anxiety goes often hand in hand with imposter syndrome. Don`t despair though, there is a way out of this dilemma. While some people are stuck in this cycle and do not know what to do, a few people have found the solution and are now enjoying an accelerating career without losing themselves in it. They are now able to enjoy their success and share it with their family and friends while they feel rested and calm. 03.01.2022 A traumatic event gave you a huge emotional response so naturally you pay a lot of attention to what have caused it and focus on it. You do not recognize anything besides this event, your brain now freezes and takes a snapshot of this event. a memory. Unfortunately, every time you think about this event, your body starts to reproduce the same emotional feelings which are attached to it as it was happening again. Some people relive this event a hundred times a day and that m...eans that this constant feeling of fear, panic, anger and despair now activates the survival system of the body. You start to unconsciously forecast what you will do if it happens again you are creating a worst-case scenario in your mind and you do it over and over again to be prepared because you are in survival mode. In this mode you could have ten awesome things happening in your life and you would not be able to see it because your focus is on survival. You are looking for something unusual, you are preparing yourself to be ready and the second you notice something unusual - BAM you are back in that event. You feel exactly the same way like you did when it happened. You are trapped in the past. The reason why talking alone doesn`t help is because the memory is not only saved in the brain, it is also been stored in the body. That is the exact reason why simply thinking about something else or distracting doesn’t help. To really heal from PTSD and anxiety, we will have to enter the subconscious mind where these programs are stored and start to change the emotions not the thought. These emotions need to be released from the body and the memory becomes wisdom instead of an unbearable memory. It takes some time and requires consistent effort from the person, but the reward is heaven on earth. The reward is a life where you are in control of your experiences.
