25.01.2022 Really fun shoot with birthday girl Jadi, marine biologist, scuba instructor and all around water lover and Sarah, who is always up for anything!

23.01.2022 Klara doing her magic during a freediving session at Bondi Beach. We got in the early morning and the sun had still some of the golden sunrise colours. The blue water is trying to come back.

21.01.2022 Very late free dive at Malabar South. Visibility has dropped considerably and there seems to be an algae bloom on the surface. Shot with Isotta housings, Olympus OMD EM1 MKII and ambient light. Model: Rick & Wobbegong shark... All camera gear by @Aquatic Imaging Australia

20.01.2022 Third visit to Cruwee Cove and we found the wreck, well, let’s say that Rick found it and we followed. It was a bit milky but flat as a pancake. All taken with ambient light but strobes will be coming soon. Virginia just nails every single shot!

19.01.2022 Finally joining the Isotta family for good. Can’t wait to get it in the water!

18.01.2022 If you’re choosing a dive destination in Australia, make sure you come and visit Pete and Bia at Fish Rock Dive Centre, South West Rocks. This week there has been clear blue waters and hammerheads during all dives. This season is looking pretty busy but they have added a second vessel to their fleet, so make sure you get your shark quota in. I was just around the area and had to stop to say hi and have a look at the printed copy of one of my pics on their wall. Pretty stoked about it!

18.01.2022 The big boulders at North Bondi/Ben Buckler. On the surface, above this spot you will find another huge rock perched on the rocky platform. This boulder has a brass plate stating that the rock was washed from the sea on a massive storm on July 15th 1912 and titled 'Bondi's Gibraltar' in 1932. Luckily, Virginia and I had a cruisy day 2 weeks ago when this picture was taken.

18.01.2022 Freediving North Bondi yesterday with spectacular conditions. The water baby in the pic is Jadranka Nappi, friend, fellow scuba instructor and marine biologist who is such a pleasure to shoot. As always, my models, you guys rock! Shot with Isotta Housings, Olympus OMD EM1 MKII and ambient light.... All camera gear by Aquatic Imaging Australia

17.01.2022 North Bondi, yesterday, in the shallow sands with monofin extraordinaire Klara Janickova. I love shooting with my fisheye lens to create a sense of depth and vast landscapes. If you pair this with really good visibility and a good model, then the shot is just waiting to pop up on your camera.

17.01.2022 Took the new setup for a spin- Isotta housing + OMD EM1 MKII and I can report that I'm absolutely sold. Conditions were not the best today in North Bondi and I only used ambient light, however, the housing seems so much lighter and the dials are somehow more reachable. The camera is great and who can't welcome few more megapixels and a slightly bigger sensor underwater. Thanks to Klara (pictured) and Charlie for the splash today.

15.01.2022 Searching for the Malabar wreck this morning. We found tonnes of pieces, however not the main wreckage... which means we just need to go back! Virginia and Klara are cruising back into Malabar bay in this pic and shortly after surfacing we were approached by Fisheries checking what we were doing. Nice to see that there are random patrols out there. There were some big sting and eagle rays out there today.

13.01.2022 Truly amazed that this was actually taken with my phone this morning. The light did help on the closer shots but did nothing for the wide angle, so will have to amp up the power. First try today and it can only get better, or so I hope. Thanks to Jadi and Mario for a great morning! Gear by Aquatic Imaging Australia

10.01.2022 First time accessing the available shore dives at Terrigal. A bit milky still but this site has such potential, pretty easy to get some depth and the walls are beautiful. We took out the buoys this time as it was unknown territory for us.

09.01.2022 A cold scuba dive with the new Isotta/Olympus OMD EM1 MKII and two Inon strobes. Surface and underwater conditions were pretty good.

09.01.2022 With the current fantastic Spring conditions, my amazing buddies and the fact that I'm getting in the water almost every second day it's hard to keep up with the tonnes of photos coming out of every session. On this day we were looking for the wreck and we probably found every single piece except the wreck itself. Just a perfect excuse to return. What is your current 'go to activity' during these crazy times? Models are Virginia and Klara.

08.01.2022 Freediving Ben Buckler before work

08.01.2022 Bondi reminded me of some of the images coming from Bahamas. We do live and dive in an incredible city; Sydney.

07.01.2022 Very happy to say that my image of Virginia Piccone at Bondi was printed on Bild's newspaper as a double spread! I'm not too versed on European printed media but apparently this one is the largest selling German national Sunday newspaper. Not going to lie, feels amazing and might have giggled like a little kid after being contacted by them. Virginia, you rocked this pose!

06.01.2022 South Bondi this morning, 15-09-2020 . I have been shooting almost every day of the week and it's hard to keep up with the amount of photos created by these two girls, Virginia and Klara. Visibility seems to have dropped considerably from the crystal clear waters from last Friday and it was also cloudy today, so no sunrays to play with. We stayed in the bay and collected quite a bit of rubbish, mainly plastic, line and a fin. Viz around the 5-8m- might be stretching it a bit :)

05.01.2022 One of the many wrecks you can find at Long Reef, just off Sydney's coast. For the last day of the crazy year that 2020 has been, Dive Centre Bondi paired with the crew of Dive Spear and Sport organised an incredible dive on this steamer scuttled in 1976 and now sitting on 46m. Conditions were near tropical, with clear blue water and no current. Model: Duncan Paterson All shot with Isotta housing, Inon strobes and Olympus OMD EM1 MKII; camera gear from Aquatic Imaging Australia

03.01.2022 Sometimes, even the shallowest of waters create amazing photo opportunities. We have now been trying this pose a few times and creating the right amount of bubbles, getting the right amount of sun rays plus nailing the pose is not that easy. I do think that Virginia did pretty darn good this time. South Bondi early this morning

03.01.2022 Yesterday I did a fantastic dive on the Adelaide with Dive Centre Bondi and skippered by the trusty Fábio from Dive Spear & Sport. All seemed well but a few hours after the dive I felt extremely lightheaded and today morning I decided to make my way to the hyperbaric chamber at Prince of Wales hospital as I was suffering pins and needles in my extremities. I did not think it was any type of DCI and I did not want to waste anyone's time but my partner convinced me to go. The r...esults were negative and I was just suffering from exhaustion after a few weeks of not sleeping enough and not eating properly the last two days. This dive was a cruisy 36metre dive for 113 minutes with no hiccups and the correct decompression but it goes to show that it was the last drop on a very full glass. Moral of the story is that you need to be on top of the game and take care of yourself, even more so for long dives. We're extremely lucky to have the facilities we do in Sydney at no cost with your Medicare card. The doctors and nurses who work there are a dedicated team and could not be kinder with the divers who have unfortunately gotten in trouble during any dive. Hope everyone is diving safely. Thanks to my teammates Duncan and Par and the second team with Scotty, Jeff and Tim for a fantastic day in the water. See more

03.01.2022 Ironic trash found and retrieved at North Bondi beach last Friday by Charlie, a Bondi local who always carries a trash bag with her. If we all do our part and pick up one or two items when going out, it will make a difference. You'll see this cool cat either freediving or scuba diving with Aussie Bubbles around the Eastern subs.

02.01.2022 This was officially my third attempt at finding the wreck and I was armed with my best GPS, Rick, however the weather conditions were not great and we had to turn around before reaching the point. The school of salmon did find us in the bay.

02.01.2022 I usually panic with backscatter, suspended particles or anything that makes a photo look dirty. On Monday Rick and I headed to Malabar just after work for a quick freedive/photo session. Water was a tad murky and I took this one meanwhile Rick was playing with his camera. I almost deleted it as I was looking through the camera's screen due to all the light reflections but after a couple minutes of post processing I was quite pleased with the imperfections and the end result. Shot with Olympus OMD EM1 MKII and Isotta Housings and ambient light. Camera gear by Aquatic Imaging Australia
