22.01.2022 The CLS Events team had a big day learning all about risk management for a large event. Thanks to Karessa and Brett from Riskworks for the visit to Bundy (and the laughs).
22.01.2022 This is a snippet of a news release put out by Live Performance Australia (LPA) to their members - a good point to note before taking any measures! Due to concerns about COVID-19, the Australian Government has today advised against organised, non-essential mass gatherings of more than 500 people from Monday 16 March 2020. We are seeking urgent clarification on the details of the announcement, in particular ‘advice’ versus a ‘government directive’, the timeframe for this advice and the details of implementation. The government needs to provide a clear directive as other jurisdictions have done so industry and the public are very clear about what this means. The industry needs to be able to plan and communicate to its audience, artists and staff with confidence in this very difficult time.

16.01.2022 A massive thank you to Peter Noble and his team at Bluesfest Byron Bay for his unfaltering commitment to bring major events back to festival goers. Despite the current challenges Bluesfest trusted in Riskworks to get the Covid Safe plan right, I am extremely proud to officially say we (Riskworks and the Bluesfest family) have been given the official stamp to forge forward in delivering the return of major music festivals this Easter long weekend. #bluesfest2021 #byroneventfarm #riskmanagement #covidsafety #riskworks #2021events
15.01.2022 As businesses, communities and families navigate through unfamiliar waters, practising patience and respect every day is essential. We understand these times are very strange and an uncertain future may be occupying our thoughts. We have already faced many challenges and there will be more to come as we continue creating a safe world, living with Coronavirus. We know to practice good hygiene, regular hand washing and spatial distancing, but It is also imperative to practice p...atience, kindness and empathy as we navigate uncertain times reopening workplaces to be COVIDSafe. Remain calm and remember to give meaningful feedback to those struggling with new workplace safety guidelines so we can all get back to business as usual with confidence. Now more than ever we need to support each other. Be safe, be proactive and be patient.
15.01.2022 I made this over the last couple of days as a small gift to #bluesfestbyronbay to show how much had gone into setting up this huge site for its 5 days of incred...ible entertainment with a small smattering of a taste of the paste. It was painfully close to having the green light instead it got the green whistle. Such a waste with such anticipation of a rare flood of live music served in lashings to a salivating starved crowd. One case in Byron may well have been the tipping point for the NSW Government to pull the pin on what was said to be one of the best covid safe events in Australia ever. A highly precautionary decision that we will never know the answer to. Like thousands of crew, staff, bands and fans, browndog was poised to do its small part at the festival and like everyone, we were pretty devastated. So close yet so far away. Third time lucky I am sure. Good luck Peter Noble and your amazing team who i know are completely gutted. Good luck to the site managers Matty and Nova on site packup. No rest for the wicked. Feeling for you. browndog signing off. Hope you like. Thanks @danielchampagnmusic who was also poised to play at the festival, for the beautiful tune. #browndogtv

08.01.2022 There is no question many parts of Australia have been doing it tough due to extreme weather events including floods, drought, heat and some of the worst wild fires on record. Whilst governments at all levels have a role to play in mitigation, response and recovery, communities can also significantly improve how they deal with and recover from catastrophic events beyond that support by looking out for each other. We think this recent post really sums up this important point. Carbargo Pub

07.01.2022 This is just the best post in this ever changing time and we just had to share it.
05.01.2022 We have hardly had a day’s rest since the news of our cancellation. While the last of the festival load-out occurs, we are continuing to have regular discussion...s and negotiations with Government to provide a rescue package in order to curb the loss and impact of our festival cancellation, and to work towards a rescheduled event. We intend to notify you as soon as an agreement is made. Until then, the best thing to do is to continue to hold on to your tickets. Thank you, with the sincerest appreciation, for your patience while we work towards the future of Bluesfest. Stay up to date by subscribing to our newsletter bit.ly/bluesfest_subscribe
