25.01.2022 A change is in the wind. With the necessity to change from a sole trader to Pty Ltd, a name change was on the cards. As of June 30 Ritchie performance and mechanical will come to an end, making way for Ritchie diesel services. This change will open many more doors for growth and development! Watch this space!

24.01.2022 This 517 had an appointment with the dentist tonight. A full fresh set of shark teeth installed! Bucket lip and adapter inspections carried out to ensure continued serviceability.

24.01.2022 Opportune maintenance on a client's Sandvik Solo on site. Failed bearing on the Drifter feed cylinder saddle. New pulleys and bearings installed and after a quick test, she is back out and spinning rods.

23.01.2022 On-site providing labour support for a valued client. Day or night, RDS can cover it. #nightshift #goldfields #local

20.01.2022 Its always nice to see a machine you carried out significant repairs on, get to site and perform. #caterpillar #mining #RDS

20.01.2022 Today RDS learned of the passing of a great guy. Tony, I had the pleasure for 2 years working along side you, servicing your drill, throwing bolts, fixing your breakdowns. I will miss our chats next to the drill, the times you checked in on me to make sure I was doing ok.... guess us ol kalgoorlie boys really do look out for each other. Well i spent today working on what you would often call "the best jumbo goin", a good ol DD420 twin boom. Rest well mate

20.01.2022 2 weeks done and dusted in kalgoorlie providing labour coverage. Spent some good quality time with family and friends as well, but the work doesn't stop. Off to the next job in meekatharra then back down to cue after that then hopefully home. #fieldservicelife #leinster #goldfields

17.01.2022 Back to it after a lazy Sunday. Out at lower chittering doing some PM work on a few tractors before season work for a good client. Arthur the site manager was on hand to maintain safety and work standards at all times. He's a bit of a slave driver but with the mandatory pats and belly rubs out of the way he let me get back to it. ... #thisislivingbarry #arthurthefrenchcattledog #farmlife #ilovemyjob #country

16.01.2022 Last job for this trip. MT6020 rear diff change out for a northern goldfields site. Nice and easy and the truck is back hauling in no time.... Stopped in at the big bell hotel for a roadie but I think i may have missed the boat on that one #homewardbound #fieldservicelife #yesteryear #australianhistory #country

15.01.2022 Another weekend, another drill service. Newly implemented underground inspections prior to service day ensure a continued increase in availability. #jumbo #sandvik #olgirl #DD420 #RDS #goldfields

15.01.2022 Hi all, welcome to my business page. Finally got around to getting one done. Stay tuned for all the fun and excitement.

15.01.2022 Another week, another machine strip. This 6020 hasn't turned wheels in a long time and it shows. But with a lot of love and attention, it will be back like new again in a couple months.

15.01.2022 Big shout out to Louie and the team @ kalgoorlie case and drill. For the best deals on tools and equipment, go see them! #localsupportinglocal #goldfields

12.01.2022 Two nights ago, this truck suffered a Hi speed shaft failure as it exited the underground portal. Significant damage to surrounding systems and components saw a recovery operation to tow the truck out of the pit and up to the workshop. Once there, the damaged brake manifold and steel lines were removed and replaced, New Hi speed shaft fitted with new yoke assembly and all new mounting hardware to ensure security. Good handovers each shift and experience was key to getting this truck back hauling again.

11.01.2022 Off and racing again after some much needed downtime. Headed north again to carry out repairs to a valued clients equipment. Mobility and technical skills are a must and I'm fortunate to have both with me at all times.

09.01.2022 Sandvik central. Carrying out a 1000 HR service and a weekly service on a client's LH517 and Axera DD420. Preventative maintenance is a must for consistent availability and reduced breakdown hours.

07.01.2022 It's been busy for myself over the last couple weeks with a rebuilt R2900 in for commissioning and site specific fit out and this week starts of with a LH514 wheel end rebuild. I hope everybody had a great Easter with whomever they could be with during this crazy time. Stay safe and do the right thing!

04.01.2022 This D9 was picked up at auction after many years of reliable service. Full inspection found a few issues which are currently being rectified before returned to work with its new owner. Pivot shaft seal replacement ... Engine rebuild Bulldozer bushes and bearings Push arm repairs Master link replacement Electrical repairs Cooler refurbishment Hose change outs These repairs will see this machine back to pushing dirt like it did when it rolled out of the factory.

04.01.2022 On site in the northern goldfields for a valued client commissioning a rebuilt JLK series R2900 CAT LHD. A few teething problems here and there but over all its a now good for another life underground. #fieldservicelife #anotherdayanothersite #ilovemyjob

03.01.2022 With all that is going on in the world, I'm grateful to say I still have work, and a lot of it at that. It has been a very busy week. Between finishing off stripping an Atlas 6020 to commissioning a rebuilt R2900 bogger to failure analysis of a Kessler axle group. Another positive was getting a few more goodies fitted to the Ute, bar work and bash plates fitted up and looking the goods! Happy to see the weekend for a rest and then back into it Monday morning. Stay safe everybody and please remember, do the right thing!
