This morning, a state of disaster was declared in multiple locations throughout the Victorian Gippsland and Alpine areas. In response, Ritchies are donating $20,000 to assist those affected in these areas and would like to thank everyone doing their part to help our communities in this time of need, with our greatest thanks to the many volunteers at the CFA working in extremely dangerous conditions to keep our communities safe. 10.01.2022 A massive $145,230 this is the total raised in a few short weeks through Ritchies Stores by our amazing customers and staff for the Salvos Bushfire Appeal. Michael (pictured) from the Salvation Army dropped into our Head Office to collect the cheque and give an update on where the funds were being spent. Importantly these funds are being put to work immediately where theyre needed. To date the Salvos have provided services and support at over 165 locations across the count...ry since Sept 2019. More than 225,000 meals have been prepared and served, and over 115,000 light refreshments provided to first responders and evacuees. A total of $40m has been raised since the National Disaster Appeal was launched on 9 November 2019. These are some amazing numbers and all of this is only possible thanks to the support of people like you.
