After counting finished on Wednesday night, Labor sneaked to a surprise victory in Bundaberg by just 11 votes and finished 78 ahead in Nicklin. The Liberal National Party, which won by 310 votes in the electorate of Currumbin, has challenged the results in Bundaberg and Nicklin. The final tally from the October 31 election gives Annastacia Palaszczuk’s government 52 seats in the 93-seat unicameral parliament, a net increase of four after Labor lost Jackie Trad’s seat of South Brisbane to the Greens. The LNP will hold 34 seats a net loss of five after it won Whitsunday while the seven-member crossbench will consist of three from Katter’s Australian Party, two from the Greens, one from One Nation and independent Sandy Bolton. In a statement, ECQ commissioner Pat Vidgen said he had confidence in the tally in both seats, but had ordered a recount given the closeness of the vote. It is in the public interest for all stakeholders to have absolute confidence in the results of the electoral process, he said. The LNP has made a formal request for the recounts and the ECQ has agreed to this request. In Britain there are 69 cases per 100,000 people compared with 28 per 100,000 in Sweden, which did not implement strict lockdown measures in the northern spring. The 29-year-old Kepnock man was arrested on Friday, November 27 and charged with one count of acts done in preparation for, or planning, terrorist acts. This offence carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment. The man is expected to face Brisbane Arrest Court on Saturday, November 28. It will be alleged in court that he was planning to undertake a terrorist act in the Bundaberg region and had sought firearms training. Investigators became concerned about threats the man allegedly made towards a member of the public and executed a search warrant at a property in Kepnock on 3 November 2020. A number of electronic devices and a notebook were seized by police at the address for evidentiary purposes. It will be alleged the electronic devices contained documents indicating a desire to undertake acts of violent extremism. Australian Federal Police (AFP) Assistant Commissioner Counter Terrorism Scott Lee said QLD JCTT investigators targeted the criminal behaviour to ensure the safety of the community. 01.01.2022 STOP THE COMMUNIST STYLE TAKE OVER OF AUSTRALIA - VICTORIA POLICE STATE IMMINENT The Andrews government has led a campaign of fear against the people of Victoria, with government over-reach becoming an unacceptably common theme of the current Victorian government. Victoria was once a state that boasted some of the best facilities, attractions, and destinations in the world. Now, Victorians are fearful to even leave their home for permitted reasons.... Victorians have witnessed harrowing footage that appears to show police brutality, aggression, and heavy-handed tactics. These incidents have left people traumatised and terrified. The Andrews government is now attempting to push through legislation that will establish a new preventative detention regime allowing Victoria Police to detain anyone they think is likely to fail to comply with a direction. The proposed section 252 of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act gives police the right to detain any high-risk person on a reasonable belief that the person is likely to refuse or fail to comply with a direction. Not only has the Andrews government failed to justify the proposed new powers, but the legislation does not define what conduct should lead to a reasonable belief and provides no oversight of the expansive new powers. However, perhaps the most frightening part of the tyrannical legislation, is that the period of detention is not specified. This would allow Victoria Police to detain innocent Victorians indefinitely, as long as they deem it necessary. Action must be taken to stop this tyrannical legislation.
