I feel the soft sunsets on the late summer nights coloring the old stone walls of my home I hear the sounds of nature like a familiar lullaby Even the rustle of the leaves talk my language I close my eyes and breathe it all in. There is my mother picking roses from her garden her soft hands the sound of piano the sweet grass beneath my feet a warm tea in my hands a plum tart baking in the oven. Home. My roots. 03.01.2022 Yesterday, I sat in the green rolling hills and wrote a long letter to my daughter. I told her what was happening in my life at her age ~ the young eleven year old Milne. What she was feeling. What she would have liked to know. ... What pearls of learning I wish to pass onto her now, on her journey to becoming a young woman. As I wrote, I realized even more what a pivotal year of my life it had been. So much unfolded from this time. It felt so deeply grounding, nourishing and healing to remember, reflect on and write this passage of my life to her, surrounded by Mother Nature as my witness, diving back into my french roots...
